I have never brewed a Hefeweizen and wanted to give it a try here soon. I'm not the biggest fan of banana and cloves, so I want to work with White Labs 320 American Hefeweizen yeast. Being a big fan of the Portland Oregon area, where my in laws live, I wanted to try to brew more of an Oregon/Portland style Hefeweizen, but I'm struggling to find any recipes specific to this sub-style. Anyone have a good recipe they'd like to share?

Here is one I've found from FH Steinbart, the oldest American homebrew store and one I visit while in Portland. I was also curious if anyone else had made this brew and its results?

Thanks in advance for any help!

So an Oregon hefe is the same as a american hefe?

The recipe looks good. I love that yeast. You could leave out the whirlflock. But if you looking for a less hazy beer then it's fine to include. Otherwise it looks like a straight forward American wheat malt bill. IMO wheat beers are flavor-differentiated by process.

In the context of the yeast used, WLP320 is known to be used by Oregon brewers to make their Hefe's...that's the particular sub-style I want to make.
