Anyone else watching the live stream (or attending)? Love that the OBA crew made a central point of an awards ceremony to celebrate Oregon brewers and their beer. If you live in Portland and haven't attended in person, I recommend it. Brewers are my celebrities, so it was really fun to rub elbows with the people who make my favorite beers.

Peanut Brother is such a good experimental beer. Weird to see Breakside’s Pilsner medal but not pFriem’s.
I kind of like these categories. They are slightly different than the BA style categories, but the differences are useful. Barrel Aged Beers is an easy example, better than grouping BBA stouts together with regular stouts. The IPA breakdowns are kind of interesting also. I realize there's no perfect sorting scheme, and the BA categories have years of tradition and an imprimatur behind them, but I do like the Oregon system.
