Anyone remember what the original coffee stout(s) were? Picked up a Espresso OA Yeti from Great Divide yesterday and started thinking about it. I started drinking craft beer in 2011 and remember this one being the only coffee stout out back then that I could get my hands on.

Founders Breakfast and KBS have been around for over 10 years. CBS was also released back in 2011, albeit difficult to come by.

Santa Fe Java Stout has been a favorite of mine for a long time. It was added to this website in 2007; I'm not sure how long it was around before that. I do love Founders Breakfast and think it's a better beer, but I'm always happy when I get to the Southwest and can pick up some Java Stout.

Bell's Java Stout, possibly the first I ever tried. Remember thinking this was so extreme, a coffee-flavored beer that was 7.5%. Was added on the site back in 2001.

Schlafly Coffee Stout has been around a while I think, and for a non-imperial, just plain coffee stout, it is pretty good. FBS might count as well, but it also has chocolate.

Stone IRS, while not technically a coffee stout, has been around forever and damn good as well.
