I have a conference down in orlando this weekend (sat-tues) and am staying very close to disney (rosen shingle creek).

On sunday, we are going to drive out to cape canaveral...

Any suggested beer stops on the way or in the nearby vicinity of the hotel or the drive?

On that note - should I be reserving tickets for cape canaveral/kennedy space center ahead of time? The last time i was there was 10+ years ago, and we just walked up and did the tour. Not sure what its going to entail these days.

    Thanks!

A couple of other locations I would say to make a stop would be, Whole Foods on Sandlake Road (3 miles away) and Vines Wines on Sandlake Road (4 miles away). If you do go to any of those locations, there is a World Beer location nearby.

Shouldn't be huge crowds at KSC for a Weekend, but it won't be totally empty since the retired shuttle orbiter is there on display.

As for bottles; Any Whole Foods store, Any newer ABC liquor store you pass or are near, There is a Total Wine store a bit north on I-4 up near the Mall at Millenia

And either Knightly Spirits stores (there is a second smaller store south of shingle creek resort on Central Florida Parkway about the same distance as the one to the north on OBT)

There are a couple of small breweries over in the Cocoa beach area that are OK and are fairly nearby KSC visitor complex so you could stop on the way home.. Cocoa Beach Brewing and Florida Beer company

To note, go to the bigger Knightly Spirits. There are a couple satellite stores throughout Orlando and none I've seen carry anywhere near the selection the original has.

My #1 goal is to mule home some Jai Alai. Not sure what #2 is yet.

Ive been trying out a strategy "Hey im in town from minnesota, I do not have access to [insert rare beer here] at home and thought i'd ask if you had any hidden around"

Ive gotten some fun stuff that way! (it works 1/100 times) lol.

If you can find some CCB Tocobaga Red Ale in the Metro, that should be loaded onto mule #2 IMO
They go back and forth between it being available outside of Tampa or not

Should be quite easy. You can even get it at Publix grocery stores down here.

There is a Publix right across the street from the entrance to Shingle Creek that should help you accomplish your Jai Alai search.

Hey guys! The OP was in Orlando last weekend.

Hopefully he had no issues locating Jai Alai. There is plenty of it floating around in the Orlando area.

Whoops! Need to get better at looking at dates now that I'm finally posting in here instead of just reading.
