A friend of mine just bought Eola Wine in WP http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/33891/ and he is going to be changing the name of it to The Parkview (the middle of this month).

He is going to be adding a vintage cooler for craft beer with stuff he has collected over the years. He also has two tap takeover events that are in the pipeline for the next month and a half. A Beer Camp event with kegs of the Collabs with Russian River, 3 Floyds, Bells, Allagash and Firestone Walker. Another event will be a Terrapin takeover including BA Monks Revenge.

It is going to be another solid craft beer offering in the Orlando/Winter Park area and i wanted to spread the love. He has a twitter page up and a website and FB site coming soon. Make sure to follow @TheParkviewWP on twitter

    Cheers

Love this place, ironically I live across from Lake Eola, but always venture over to the Winter Park location (including getting hammered there with family after my wedding when they had Hopslam on tap). They've always had a great selection and staff, great to see it's going to stay that way! With Frank N Steins opening up down the street and Cask and Larder, looks like I'll be spending even more time in WP.

It's been awhile since I've been to winter park. They are opening up a Frank N Steins there? Sweet. I didn't know that. I've been to Cask and Larder and thought the beer was ok. Need to check it out again to see if they improved.

But I've been to the Eola many times. I always liked that place. I always thought that was a little gem with the good craft beers they got. I have to say that their vintage list is pretty highly priced though. Not sure many people will buy them unless he lowers the price. Then again, it is winter park so maybe they will sell there. Anyway, I’ll definitely be going once the revamp is done. Know if he plans on putting more beers on tap? Thanks for the info.

Right now they are very limited in tap space because they can only do slims under the bar. I think he has plans for the future to have more on tap but his focus is to improve the draft selection and have a rad bar.

He has never had a "vintage" selection just the large format selection at Eola. I know he has some really rare stuff in his personal collection that will be in the cooler. He still has some 2010 Winter Warmer and some CCB Sea Bass. Who knows what will hit the shelves but those have been mentioned.

As someone who lives just outside of Lake Eola (over off Bumby), this makes me happy. My neighbors work at Mucho and Sonoma, but I never really head over that way for beer.

@troygreer Do you know if it has been fully converted yet?

They have the name up and part of the new menu done. It will be a steady transition with lunch on Friday's now. The FB and twitter pages are the best source for info on events etc.

Also, I am going to try to have a bottle share this month for lunch at the Parkview. Bringing the New Glarus - Wild Peach from this year (a blend of 2011,2012 & 2014) among others.

He is having a Sierra Nevada Beer Camp takeover this month which will be posted about soon.

When are you planning on having the share? I live in Winter Park and would be down. Could bring a de Garde Bu or some HF stuff after my trip to VT later in the month.

I'm in on the bottle share too, got a few trips this month that should have some good brews returning with me. A good share / some IP trades could be fun.

We are shooting for a Sunday at the end of the month. I'll keep you guys in the loop and post an event on The Parkview BA page when it is set up. It will be around lunch time so that we can get some food (to help out the place) during the bottle share.

    HF bottles!!!!!
