Hi All, Heading down in a week to Orlando, Tampa, then Naples. Spending three days in Orlando, a day in Tampa, and a week in Naples. I looked at the "places" near those areas but was wanted to get some input from people that frequent the areas establishments. On the transfer from Orlando to Naples, we plan on stopping at Peg's Cantina. Don't know how hard it is to go there or if reservations are needed, etc. Below is the places that I have been to when last in the area... Orlando - Knightly Spirits: I was there a couple of years ago. I plan to hit that again. Is there another bottle store in the area that is better? - Orlando Brewing Partners: there last time, looking for something different - believe there are 6 or so places in the area Tampa - Cigar City: will be back to have a few pints and check out the new place Naples Nothing yet. Cheers, Scot
Orlando - Knightly Spirits: I was there a couple of years ago. I plan to hit that again. Is there another bottle store in the area that is better? No, the one on OBT is the best for stuff you may not find in your typical Total Wine - Orlando Brewing Partners: there last time, looking for something different - believe there are 6 or so places in the area Hit up Cask & Larder in Winter Park for stuff brewed in the area. They're the best brewery and the food is awesome as well. Hit up Redlight Redlight for our best beer bar.
No, the one on OBT is the best for stuff you may not find in your typical Total Wine Any idea of a name/location? Unfamiliar with the area so this means nothing to me at the moment. Thank you for the input.
Sorry, the Knightly Spirits located on Orange Blossom Trail near 417. They have multiple locations but this one is the best.
Tampa- (Dunedin, really) 7eventh Sun Brewing and Dunedin Brewery are a must. They are about 4 blocks away from each other.
Looks like Dunedin might bottle while 7eventh doesn't. Bottle store in the area that would carry Dunedin and which one(s) to get? If I picked up a growler at 7eventh, what would you suggest? As for Orlando and Naples, don't mind driving 30 - 40 minutes in any direction to find something.
Anyone have any advice for Naples here ?? I'm in Orlando, and will be in Naples this weekend and curious if there was anything there worth checking out ??
They both bottle from time to time, but only sell at their respective breweries. 7venth Sun doesn't have any bottles for sale right now. Not sure about Dunedin. Anyway, Mangrove and Red D'or are both great and growlerable. The other offerings are not bad either.
Not much in Naples. Hit the tw on airport, it's the best bottle shop in town. Waaaay better selection than the one on fort Myers. There's Naples beach brewing, I haven't been there,,but some say its pretty good. Fort Myers brewing company is only open on Friday and Saturday, but this Saturday is there summer fest. Should be a couple of interesting things on tap. As for bars...hurricanes at coconut point and south street in Naples are pretty decent.
as for Dunedin, they have this Honey Beer that they are currently selling in bombers. Its delicious. 7eventh Sun will only have growlers.
Finally going to be in Tampa today. Forgot to ask about a bottle store (near cigar city or pegs would be awesome but don't mind a short drive)
Going to have to head home in a few days and was thinking about hitting a beer store in Georgia on the way home.. Will be going along 75. Looking for something with a good selection while being a few minutes out of the way. Have a great 4th! Cheers, Scot
Naples Beach Brewery is pretty good. A very small one man operation. On draft only. Some bars around town have his beer. Whole Foods has a decent selection.
I did like Naples Beach Brewery. Beers aren't bad. When I was there on Friday, he had a bourbon aged stout on tap. Decent. Think the APA is his best at the moment.
