OBC is a fairly new Maine brewery that doesn't get much appreciation on here. Located in Orono, ME, with a new taproom also opening in downtown Bangor, ME today, they are making some of the best beer north of Portland, in my opinion. Today was a big day for them with aforementioned opening of their new taproom in downtown Bangor. They also released their second ever batch of cans today at their Orono taproom, including favorites Ozone IPA and Lightning Tree IPA. If any of you who vacation up here in Maine make it up to Bangor, I recommend checking them out.
Would love to try some. But living here in Portsmouth, on the Maine border that's a god damn haul for beer if you aren't already heading to Bar Harbor. You could argue the same for VT but there is so much more beer related in VT to make it worth while. When we head north Portland is pretty much it for beer, then back south. The Orono location will always keep the chatter down a bit, it's just out of the way.
Cool, actually heading up to Bar Harbor tomorrow. Might swing by on the way, thanks for the heads up!
Just checked out the new Bangor taproom today. It's absolutely phenomenal, but filled up quickly. Definitely going to be a popular spot in Bangor.
