Orpheus blows me away again, if yall managed to can lyric and still have it taste as amazing as it does on tap. It will probably become my goto canned beer. I cannot wait for the sours yall have to be canned. I almost cannot contain my excitement.

I am more excited about orpheus saisons, and sours in cans then I was when I won a kbs raffle at a local store.

Looking for some help here. Have friends who live in area (Alpharetta) and who keep offering to get some local stuff for me. I have been would love to try some Atalanta and Lyric. Any guidance on where they can get it on November 3rd?

Ale Yeah! Roswell would be a good start. It's a hop, skip, and a jump away from Alpharetta, especially if your friends live near Holcomb Bridge Road. Besides, I wouldn't worry too much. Demand will probably be strong, but I imagine that supply will be relatively plentiful for ATL, too. Not unlike Westbrook Gose--it disappears fast, but then it always reappears just as quickly (when in season).

Ale Yeah! Roswell will indeed have it, our delivery day is Thursday for United, so expect to see it later afternoon time. I'm priming the pumps as far as how much to buy but it seems there should be stock enough to satisfy the first big weekend of it being available. Limits may be placed but we'll see.

I live in Alpharetta and typically go to Older Crabapple Bottle Shop, Total Wine, and Ale Yeah Roswell. I imagine any of those places would have it when its available.

    @jpellett251

Will we be fortunate enough to see Wandering Blues in cans?

I got a 32oz of it the other evening at Whole Foods when I was in town, and regretted it.

I should have gotten a 64oz, instead.. it was really good and refreshing.

Next year, when we start canning our IPAs (Transmigration of Souls, Peace.War.Truth.Lie., Life.Death.Life.Truth.) and seasonal sours (Serpent Bite, Wandering Blues, Sykophantes).

Man.. Atalanta is so dang good..

This could easily replace Westbrooks Gose for me. Can, check. Sour, check. Local, most definitely.

Visited Porter Beer Bar in Atlanta recently. Had Life.Death.Life.Truth which was fantastic. Also had some sips of my gf's Sykophantes which I found to be a bit odd, but decent. Nice to see a small Atlanta brewery building their way up to being a successful contender in the craft scene. Hope to get a chance to try more of their beers sometime soon.

Sykophantes has a really, really odd metallic taste to it. It's like the sour mash picked up something from the SS or something along the way. So good until you clear your mouth.

I'm waiting to try some Life Death Life Truth. About all I haven't had from them. That and serpents bite.

I want to begin by saying that I really appreciated Sykophantes--just so we're clear. But I also noticed that overwhelming metallic note in the beer, both in a restaurant pour and subsequent growler fill. My guess is that the metallic taste (iron, rust) was intrinsic to the beer itself and not a fluke of storage/packaging/serving.

My best guess is that it had something to do with the heavy use of caramel malts, which can be "steely." But I'm not sure. Warming the beer really didn't help, either. Other than that, the beer was fantastic, particularly the aroma. I appreciated the attempt to create what I interpreted to be a sour dubbel.

Hope this feedback comes across as constructive, and I hope it doesn't dissuade Orpheus from taking another crack at such an inventive beer. But I concur with @FATC1TY about that metallic taste--it really was not pleasant.

Can't wait for The 12th Labor!

The hotel I'm currently staying at has Transmigration of Souls on tap. A mighty fine brew. Does Green's and / or Hop City still have the two can offerings available?
