My grocery is out and a beer wholesaler was almost out. The situation bears watching.

It's still close to New Years. Last year I didn't see any Orval from November when I moved here until The end of January. It will probably be the same this year. If you don't see any in about 2 weeks I would be worried.

It's been scarce since this past summer. In June, drink marts were telling me to come back in September. Vanuxeem was out 2 months in a row even though they were limiting purchases to one crate per customer. I've heard from a coworker that the brewery is not reducing output, but rather changing the way it distributes in order to get more product to individual customers than restaurants and wholesalers. Not sure if this is true, but it makes sense given the recent situation.

It's been like that at least a year now. The shops say it goes to America. Carrefour has 4 packs sometimes. I snatch a few when I do see them there. Good luck!

My dad lives in Nivelles and I live in San Francisco. He can't find Orval anywhere. It's everywhere here (every Whole Foods, BevMo, etc). So ya, they're focusing on exporting to the US, for whatever reason. I'm not complaining.
