Waited two hours in line (showed up at 12:30). Will either arrive very early black Friday, or waay late and hope the Hipster lasts thru the day. The line was done around 3pm or a little before.

Agreed. Didn't see a single incident of drama/line jumping. Very smooth indeed. Fingers crossed that the Hipster release goes this well.

    This.

Had been looking forward to this release for weeks but sure enough felt like shit when I woke up yesterday. So glad I made the trip anyway. Would've regretted not going for sure.

I'm sure all the people around you that might be sick now are glad you made the trip.

There will be just as much, if not more Hipster than there is BBIMM, and, there's still BBIMM left. I was there from 1 to 3, and for the last hour you could have waited 5 minutes and gotten as much as you wanted.

Unless you want Morningwood, which lasts about 40 people, my advice is come late, and don't wait!

I was surprised they had a full case limit on MW if they only had 40 cases (heard that from the guys I was standing in front of in line, so who knows if accurate), but ultimately it was a non-factor, because I ended up taking a swing-top of it home to enjoy. The fact that they even had any was a bonus. I was there for the BBIMM, which is delicious this year.

As others have mentioned, the release was very smooth--I didn't think the line moved particularly fast, but I also don't see any realistic way to move it faster. It's just going to take time to take people's orders when they are likely grabbing a multitude of things. All in all the day was a success. I just wish I didn't live two and a half hours from the place because I really enjoyed the vibe and they have a killer taplist.

I see your point but it's not like I was coughing and hacking all over the place. I'm an adult, I know how to cover my mouth when I cough. Had I been just oozing sickness I would not have gone. Chill out guy.

Thought the line was slow. I don't know how they'd pull it off in the space, but should have a separate line for bottles only (saw a lot of growlers being filled from same line) and make bottles cash only with a few more people. There are things they could have done to speed it up.

I had forgotten about the release but had made a special trip to Grand Haven on Saturday to pick up a fur coat and some straw hats at Dockside, was able to wander into Odd Side late afternoon and score some cases.

I was about 50th in line, and me and the three others with me and a dude a couple spots behind us each got a case.... but only because the bartenders oversold. So they sold out around 12:15 or so, but the last few people who got cases had to wait until about 12:45/1 for the Odd Side A-Team Van to make a trip to the production facility and back to bring us our cases.

It's all around GR this week, but everybody has 1 bottle limits. Dang, I bought a least a couple 4-packs at local stores during last year's release.

Seems to be no where near as much in distro as there was last year.

Probably because the release was crazier than expected with people scooping up 8 and 10 cases at a time. There may not have been as much left for distro as they were hoping. Maybe next year there should be limits on the release.
