OB can run a misinformation campaign better than most small governments and often be equally frustrating

We really won't know for sure until the actual release, regardless of past events or what is said

 

What's the upside to the misinformation?

Seems kinda cocky- like 'we'll sell it all no matter what, who cares what we tell them?!?'

 

I don't think there's any upside to it, and I don't even think it's them doing it intentionally or scheming. They just don't communicate well between themselves.

Like when BATF cans came out. The first social media post that came out promoted how limited it was and had a "HURRY UP AND GET HERE" vibe. It lasted throughout the day, and they even dropped the price $1/4-pack the next day. The second day they posted a similar message on social media. Long story short, it was available for what...a week or two? People were able to load up on as much as they could afford (I know one guy who bought about 6 cases over that period of time) and there was enough that OB sent a bunch to their new location in North Carolina.

So either the bar staff, person answering the phone, and social media person aren't accurately told what's going on, or their social media person is just a scheming hype-junkie.

 

It also doesn't help that they keep like six 4-packs of limited beers in the cooler at a time. And then when you ask the staff, they say "I don't know if there's any more" or "I'm not sure how much is left". Because then we jump on BA and Facebook and proclaim 'HURRY UP AND GET HERE IT'S ALMOST GONE!!!".

Look, if there's a freaking pallet of the beer just behind that wall, you know it. And you could be straight with people. So maybe they are just trying to sensationalize the whole thing and create hype. Either way, it's annoying.

 

That's why I had to say, for what it's worth.

 

Bingo. If there is one CO brewery that doesn't give a shit about catering to beer geeks, it's OB.

Anyone know if there's a limit? If I make it up there it won't be until tomorrow and I know how these beer hoarding fucks like to get 20-30 crowlers at a time when there isn't a limit.

Just got back. No limit on BA Fidy crowlers. No Java crowlers. They likely have tons of the BA Fidy in crowlers but they had a hard time keeping up with the folks who were taking 15+ of them. Probably just slowly stocking them as to not cause too much hoarding/ chaos.
