If a certain brew came in 10 different sizes, *that* would be gimmicky.

    Two different sizes? Three?

    That's just marketing.

And while we all like to think of the craft brewery as a mythical idyllic thing, it's still just a business ... and businesses don't survive without making money. So if Oskar Blues thinks it can sell some stovepipes, it's nothing less or more than standard business practice to make what you can sell.

Now if OB came out with the six-pack, the stovepipe, the mini-stovepipe, the MEGA-stovepipe, the stovepipe junior and the stovepipe in 2-packs, 3-packs and 7-packs ... and then added a 150 oz. sized can named "the furnace" or "the nuclear power plant" ... THAT would be gimmicky.

Good call, I neglected to remember how moderately priced FIS is...only problem though, at least in GA, it flies off the shelves while Ten Fidy is a bit easier to come across.

Yeah, I stand corrected in regards to Founders 4-packs. I also didnt take into account that you might not be able to purchase singles (which was my logic in regards to the price comparisson with bombers). I know you can purchase singles in NJ; it's not as much of a hassle as PA.

Cans at least the ones currently in production use BPA as a liner which is bad for you and also if not made perfectly your beer will taste like metal. I'm hoping the new Sam Adams cans are BPA and metal flavor free. Aged Ten Fidy tastes like metal as for lower de boom even if they used the new cans 21st has lost their mind if they think their prices for it are reasonable.
