Tried this for the first time after the shop I work at got it in stock. It's a great beer and will probably be one of my go to IPAs

Enjoying one right now. Picked one up yesterday along with a 4 pack of G'Knight. Another good choice from OB along with Dales and the outstanding G'Knight

6.43% ABV is considered a 'session' beer?
    That's hilarious.

I generally consider anything under 7 sessionable. For me, anyway.

A lot of whiney, baby palates in here that can't handle hops. Go suck on your milk stouts and be close minded, thats more IPAs for us. Ya beer weiners.

Just picked up a six pack. Very good IPA, and joins the long list of very good IPA's out there.

Picked up sixer for $8.49....as with many replies, a solid IPA (especially for the price), but not one that will wow you.

Really like this beer, like Stone Delicious, really nice fruity character with a lower bitterness for an IPA and insanely drinkable. This is a new rotation beer for me, I just hope I can find it fresh with some consistency.

If anyone is interested, the mountain graphic between the quote and the big IPA label of the 2 mountains. Those are real mountains, the one on the left is Mount Meeker (13,911'), and the one on the right is Longs Peak (14,255'). The perspective of the two mountains here is what you would see from the North end of Longmont, possibly from some part of Lyons where they started. I have climbed Longs Peak but not Mt Meeker yet. They pretty much dominate the western skyline from a large area of Northern CO. Longs Peak is the highest point in Rocky Mountain National Park.

According to the Westword article, this is the only beer commercially produced that uses the unique Enigma hops.

Not bad when fresh, but nothing to write home about either.

Finally picked this up, tastes great. Is this a difference in taste buds thing, a freshness thing or a consistency problem? Anyone notice a pattern in the rave reviews vs the haters?

Imo it's just that there are plenty of significantly better options out there that are just as readily available. Last time I got this I had three IPAs in my fridge at the time that all blew this out of the water. It's not particularly bad though so I can see why some people might enjoy it.

After two six packs of this, I am a fan but people simply have to know that it's one of the leaner styles of IPA (more effervescent hops than dank malt depth) and there is... as someone put it above (can't remember who)... a bit of the baby-diaper whiff occasionally. But it's a good beer... not a daily one, but I'll buy 2-3 times a year.

i agree and also think that's the root of a lot of the disappointment. i really enjoy it too though - very refreshing and tasty but pretty simple...sometimes that's just what i'm looking for

I wasn't impressed by it, to say the least. I owe it a review, though.
