Will be in Oslo for 26 hours on October 5 on my way home from Amsterdam. Any hotel or beer bar recommendations from fellow BA's? Would like to be as close to the airport as possible. Thanks!
Can you recommend a part of town to stay thats close to the airport? Somewhere safe/easy to get around.
You should definitely also check out Crowbar (pretty much next door to Sara), as well as Schouskjelleren ( 10 minutes to walk from Sara). When it comes to transportation to and from the airport this is a simple 20 minutes ride with the Airport Train ( http://www.flytoget.no/eng/ ) The train goes every 10 minutes or so, so you should't have any problems staying at the city center and still finding a train that suits your schedule. I always stay at the same hotel when I'm in Oslo: https://www.nordicchoicehotels.com/...xpress/?_ga=1.215017303.1943714686.1435904801 - cheap, simple, centrally located and quite new. It's a 10 minutes walk to the Airport Train and 3 minutes walk to both Cafe Sara and Crowbar from the hotel i linked to.
@interman @Palme does either cafe sara or crowbar allow outside bottles? Will be bringing something from the states I wouldn't ming opening with a friendly staff. Thanks for the heads up.
No bars allow outside bottles, unfortunately. Probably gonna need to invite folks over to the hotel or something.
