Curious to know if anyone's traded for this one recently. This is the only one of the four initial releases that I have not had yet. What has it taken/should it take to get a bottle?
Really don't see these get posted about much. Haven't tried any myself....not helpful. Hopefully someone has stronger insight
Had one when it first came out and revisited a couple weeks ago. Great, great beer. Perfect sourness, great flavor, high drinkability for the style. By far the best of last years January releases.
The extremely low bottle count and the fact that it was released in the middle of winter in the middle of nowhere on a day with a snowstorm forecast (which ended up being quite accurate), and was also the day before the CW anniversary party leads me to guess more locals and not too many beer traders ended up with it. I am in the same boat, got the other releases the next day but missed Scarlet Letter, and would love to try it.
I havent traded for one, but I had one sent to me by a regular trader who was kind enough to pick up the original set for me, and it was fabulous. I would highly recommend trying to track one down
