I am preparing my yearly pilgrimage to Victory brewing, and typically if we hit someplace after it would be the Drafting Room in Exton. I pretty much created this itinerary in 2006 so I'm guessing there may be some new places to hit up in the area. Just wondering what's worth checking out.

    Thanks in advance.

Sly Fox has a brewery about 15 minutes away, and there is a Wegmans roughly 5 minutes away from Victory for bottle shopping.

+1 to Station for proximity and excellence.

Iron Hill West Chester is pretty close via Rt. 322.

TJs in Paoli, Teresa's in Wayne, Tired Hands in Ardmore are all top notch.

Ron's in Exton, McKenzie's in Devon, even Pizzeria Uno by the turnpike has some good craft selections.

You will run out of time before you run out of destinations.

I appreciate all of the help on this and I know these "where do I go?" threads can be annoying. If any of you helpful chaps are looking for IP trade stuff from OR for 9/13 delivery at one of these locations please PM me.

In the general vicinity to Victory, we really like Flying Pig Saloon in Malvern. Laid back, comfortable bar, great beer selection and good bar food.

    Must stops:
    1) Station Taproom in Downingtown ---- even better for brunch (can you say deep fried poached eggs benedict with scrapple?)
    2) Side Bar in West Chester ---- becoming one of the best beer places in the western suburbs. just don't go on a weekend night. it's kind of fratty then.

then everything else everyone else said.

+1 for Side Bar in West Chester. If you go stick to weekend afternoon or weeknights b/c you will be standing otherwise. Was just there for their Ballast Point Tap Takeover and it was a great turn out with great beers.

Not sure if you already made the trip but you're out of your mind if you don't stop at TJ's in Paoli. I lived in that area for 5 years and was a frequent patron at all of the above mentioned spots and can easily say that none of them compare to TJ's in terms of depth and breadth of beer selection both bottle and tap. The food and clientele is also better. Have fun
