Since I was around in the caveman days, will throw some of my knowledge down on you youngsters who have yet to understand what the caveman knew, wheels are your friend when transporting cans around the city.

While I was just about to come on and say this, I have seen 7-11 and some supermarkets now carrying wine (no liquor) in addition to the usual beer. I’m sure they have to apply for a separate license but it has become more common, in my experience.

It's most likely that low ABV wine. Grocery stores/bodegas/convince stores can sell "wine products" but not actual wine. Unless something has changed.

I can attest to this. I stopped by late morning Saturday to get some cans. As I was walking home saw this old unshaven guy staggering down the street pulling a battered roller suitcase. Immediately was thinking “ah fuck poor guy” and started pulling out some singles. Then when he got a little closer saw it was @jrnyc hitting the release!

Honest no holds barred opinion is after the original crunchee beer (which I liked a lot) these types of beers from OH have all been not good IMO and/or gotten worse. This would have been somewhat better with out the vanilla added in it, but I had a taster and I did not really enjoy it. I guess it was good for what it was, but not something i'd revist again.

Are you sure it's actual wine? Supermarkets carry stuff like Chateau Diana which looks like wine but is actually something like "wine product."

ha ha, about 85% of this is true !

I also figured something out, more often than not when I drive to Other Half to get cans, I run into Malcolm running. Statistically the odds of this happening are pretty low given the perfect timing needed ( @dhaakon back me up on this). I did some thinking on this, finally figured it out, I think Malcolm continually runs the Center , Smith, Garnet, Court Street loop over and over again hoping to bump into other BA'ers.

I waited in line nearly 5 hours for OG Street Green. I remember showing up around 9 that morning thinking the wait would be an hour or two tops. First and last time I ever waited in a really long line for beer...not sure how people still do that on the reg

Can't imagine this release will be anything like that. That was the very first hyped collab OH ever released. Also, they are making TONS more beer now. Yes, there will probably be a line on Friday, but I'd be willing to bet you will also be able to stroll up around 2 or 3 and still get whatever you want without any issue.

Na I know those days are pretty much long gone at OH. I’m just recalling the trauma from that day and wondering how people are still regularly lining up for hours at other places around the country. I’ll likely opt to just try this one on tap some other day...I wasn’t that crazy about the OG version

I understand that alcoholism and unemployment are bedfellows but to be into craft beer, you need an income. People do work on Friday, right?
