Endlessly?? It was like 3 or 4 posts against, many more for. And it was over the course of maybe a day. He was welcomed with open arms by some when he popped in here. Blowback on his one post was relatively tame.

But it shall be, if you can monitor this thread look for next OH meetup and invite him, will definitely buy him a beer as I am sure others will too. @rozzom is very generous in handing out hazepecking on here, but also quite generous when buying beers, although his tipping game is suspect.

If that guy couldn’t tell that the people in this thread are obviously just joking around, then the internet in general is probably not for him. There are plenty of sites where people are horrible to each other, this isn’t one of them.

When is the next meetup? Who missed the last one that we should be sure to accommodate? Where are we at on a weekday meetup?

I missed the last one. Would love to attend the next.

I think @prettygood @FlamingMoe @SeanEDPBK @dhaakon @Max_W @creepyownerguy were all people that came to one or both of the first two meet ups, that didn't make it last time (or at least weren't there when I was there). Sorry if I missed anyone

I'm down for a weeknight but it sounds like that would automatically preclude Gramps and a couple of others that don't live in the city. Along with @crowlcrowlcrowl and @NewmansOwn , @Warchild aka @BoardwalkBock needs to make an appearance this time

We need to do a Hop Showers Vert at the next meetup.

There's history there and he didn't see this turning out any different. Why continue to subject yourself to personal criticism you don't deserve from people you don't know and who certainly don't know you? Even if it's just a vocal minority?

But I suspect he'll follow along from the sidelines and show his face at a future meetup if he can. I'll make sure he knows he's welcome.

Because there's a pretty damn good group of people who represent the majority in this thread that welcome his point of view and appreciate his attempt to elevate the discussion, even if it barely had the chance to lift off. The rest -- the vocal minority that @rozzom usually drowns out anyway -- can be damned. I'd be happy to see him come back so that we can all, as a group, better appreciate our luck in having such fine breweries available to us in New York and employ even more self-deprecation about our travails in this thread.

But what do I know. I talked shit about lactose so much that @jrnyc blew my game up with the Tose Test and then made me the shirt that is my avatar. Perhaps this thread isn't the right place for him -- I guess you do need to be able to absorb some good-natured "personal" criticism to fit in.

And let's not forget it started with Olmsted criticizing BoardwalkBock's stance on banter - not the other way round. If you dish it out - however eloquently - then it's only fair that you take it as well

LOL! I knew that shirt would pay dividends, only in my wildest dreams did I expect to see it in your avatar.

It seems pointless to argue about this since it's not like all of these posts explaining why the OH thread is great will suddenly get him to come back, but I think it's worth noting that there's a really simple solution to dealing with the "kindergarten bullshit". You can block the offenders. Click a name and then click ignore. Done.

I'm not assuming that my presence will influence scheduling the next meetup, but I'd be much more likely to make a weeknight meetup than a weekend one. Living north of the city, it's easier to stay after work than getting to Brooklyn on a weekend.

This is what I'm figuring, that we can get some other people out for one of these at the expense of a few that have made it in the past (and presumably will be more likely to make the next weekend meetup!)

Let's pick a quiet Monday night to start the work week off right. Plus taproom is usually pretty chill.

I'm good on a weeknight or weekend. Any interest in a standing meetup each month that alternates? I'll gladly oblige any excuse to hit OH with more regularity than I currently visit.

No time like the present (for me Mondays are usually a weekend lactose consumption-induced exercise in self-loathing, but I'll make it work)

And if that means @Xerlic can make it then that would be sweet - didn't even realize that would be an option
