As a vegetarian, I would also like to see more vegetable-named beers. Something always feels a little wrong when I have a meat-named one.

I think a lot of the ‘tose beers have been forgotten from the rotationals, like space daydream, daydream in green, Mylar daydream etc.
With that said, I’d be happy with a steady supply of only ACE, space diamonds, and Mylar. Maybe a true green or OG green power in there.

If anyone is still bummed about missing BA Double Drupe, Whole Foods Gowanus currently has both BA Ten Fidy and Master Blend, likely superior beers #dudewheresmysdw

Are you making a reference to the Tired Hands Space Food that was brewed with cotton candy or is that just a happy accident?

HDHC Citra'Saic is drinking pretty great right now. As far as regular rotation stuff DDHDMD is my favorite OH beer. Hoping to see that more regularly down here this time next year.

Funny enough, this WILL NEVER HAPPEN (immediately happens).. As I assume they feel it will ruin the hype. Kane has their core and even tired hands has alien church always at the ready, but they get foot traffic as is and I assume feel no reason to waste tank space on their true quality (ACE, Mylar, SD, Forever etc.. as realistically there are only so many good combinations to make of citra/Galaxy/mosaic/simcoe). It sucks, but hell they bought BACK equity and have Washington DC in the works, Rock already going.. Etc. Clearly mediocre pastry stouts, mediocre sours, and excellent IPAs interspersed with meh offerings for the sake of being slightly different in hop billing makes the money. Hell Trump is president and a half human-half turtle hybrid in Mitch McConnell is top dog in the Senate. I clearly don't understand people or their taste. But to be clear, I know better then them as do my hop shower supporters... Whom i have all unilaterally signed up for their local democratic socialist parties as we are clearly all that sympatico. Our platform is no more fundraiser's for cancer treatments as that crap is covered, and ACE is always available.

Look I'd be bothered by this, but in the interest of expanding the thread count and my firm belief that only rare steak is worth eating I'm going to let this one go. Also to keep relevance, Hops Only definitely had a touch of melon flavor with hop bitterness and kicks the crap out of most oat/lactose offerings. Still behind ACE/SD/Hop showers though for me for whatever that's worth seeing as I'm from NJ.

If they were to move their festival out of Industry City, where would you want to see the venue be changed to? I was trying to think what other venues could possibly work the way that space does.

If there’s going to be a large event space at the Domino Sugar Factory, that would be a fitting venue on a few different levels

PS - posting this sort of hypothetical question at 4am marks one of the most extreme lurker>active poster conversions in history. Kudos

Raw meat upside the head was certainly a reasonable reaction but after reading it 3 times this is mine:

Gerry's risen to the challenge even more than I have. He should come to the next meetup and we should all gather around him as he snorts the first line of tose.

I had a few 4oz pours of Hops Only and ACE last night and, yup, ACE was the winner imo. Chalk one up in the W column for the old-school offering.

Guys, guys, GUYS! How could you forget the Dual Hop series?!? They were somewhat consistent (sadly, production fell off in Q3/Q4), but damn, every iteration was at or near ahunnit.

I was going to say that but then didn’t, because has any combo been repeated enough to be arguably classed as regular?

I think this peRspective is akin to pushing a square peg into a round hOle. I love what other half does with galaxy hops and between space diamonds, space broccoli, and green diamonds, I had regularly available galaxy options through the month of december. I suspect if you go back through the entire year you'll find that "galaxy" was a year-round offering. Insisting the label be the same seems petty.

As per criticism of the variance, don't hate the playa, hate the game. Also most of those critiques are made by people who drink bad to mediocre neipa and likely think other half, equilibrium, and tree house all taste the same. I've been astonished in the past by how little people on this site acknowledge the role yeast plays in haZy ipa. Look at the grandfather of HaZe himself, heady topper, and how important cOnan yeast is in brewing that beer!

With that said, citra, Mosaic, and galaxy are all year-round offeringS from other half.

Same thiNg for stouts. Choose your addItives, be it cocoonuT, Cinnamon, nuts, or whatever and look for the stout tHat drops evEry month and a half or so with that additive! Coconut is Definitely a year-round offering.
