I loved this label and this beer. They had stickers or pins with this release and I regret not buying the swag.

I opened my bottle of quiet space last night and even with only vanilla as an adjunct, it was so thick and sweet. One of these days I'll learn my lesson and stop buying OH bottles.

Combining @PapasDelicateCondition's observation about Other Half's shamelessness when it comes to naming their beers after grotesquely unhealthy foods and @brandnewcardock's points about the changes that could result from more government-enforced transparency in labeling, I wonder if these might be some of the Other Half beers of the future:
    • Cirrhosis Daydream
    • Deep Orbit Pancreatitis
    • Erase Your Mind
    • Pickled Liver Crunchee
    • All Gout Everything

ha! Thanks. I'm finishing a doctorate and run a school outside of visiting/drinking at breweries so even on days off it is hard for me to really get a lot of sleep.

Space Broccoli is already kicked from pours/growlers apparently. At least ACE is on for growlers but kinda disappointing, wanted to try that since it sounded awesome.

ACE was a nice start to the night last night. My wife had 8 oz of the All Death and was hammered hahaha.

I just enjoyed the Laurel, worth a pick up if you need a break from the IPAs.

Earlier this year, there was some criticism of Other Half here for failing to highlight their hardworking employees through social media as much as some other breweries. Whether it was a fair criticism or not—what matters is how you actually treat them, not Instagram window dressing—it's something we've seldom done ourselves.

So in the spirit of the season (and also, admittedly, the pursuit of #189:slight_smile:), would anyone care to share a tale of a special moment with someone at the company or simply single folks out for praise?

I'll start by naming Monday, a bighearted and thoughtful guy who made me feel truly welcome at the brewery well before anyone else. An encounter with Billy, Erin, or Miguel also makes my visits to the taproom better.

We give this brewery a lot of shit, and they certainly deserve some of it, but my impression over the past year of going there is that it's a respectable, well-run business with no shortage of good people on its payroll. We can malign them for the excess of lactose, gimmicks, and all the rest, but we should always celebrate that.

I’m going to give a shoutout to @GreaserGreg - did a long run with him and @hops_for_thought - really nice guy, living the dream, and dispelled all the BS nonsense about employees not being treated properly

I'm all about Najee (sp?); the tall African-American brudda that distributes the Saturday queue to various tables in the garage. Love catching up with him every week.

My shout out is to Anthony. Saw him after years and we briefly talked about the old days when the tap room opened and it was him, me, and a few other people. Always has been a nice guy to me.

The big guy with the short dreads who’s often working the door on weekday evenings is the man! Very friendly guy. Never caught his name. Always makes jokes to me and my wife about being there too much

And @DrederickTatum - you mean the guy that actually serves cans? Who’s obviously high? Yeah he’s a legend. I feel like he’s worked at / is working at half the beer places in Brooklyn. Always has something funny to say. Good dude

Pretty sure this cat would never be caught letting that word escape his lips...

    More the gentle giant type.

This reminds me, because @hops_for_thought and I just talked about it on Christmas at Gold Star. I'd be happy to join you guys some weekend day in Prospect Park provided you were willing to go extra slow for my ailing old bones...

Edit: Hope @hops_for_thought own back is starting to feel better!

And then maybe we can all go undo our hard work at Other Half by drinking 1,000+ empty calories in less time than it took us to do 2 laps of the park.

TV Dinner is pretty damn good. Some hints of melon that will prob be enhanced with weeks to come.

Not a big Triple guy but this is good.

For 2020 goals, is there any chance that OH tries to get a sour/barrel program like Grimm? That would be fanatic.
