    I liked both the Cognac + Vanilla variant and last year's Gold Strap but I really like Barleywine and this is close enough.

    BA Gold Strap Wheatwine Ale Aged 2 Years in Bourbon Barrels(12.5%) We laid this wheatwine down in bourbon barrels for 2 years! Big, rich and complex. $22 per bottle, 2 bottles per person.

    Awesome man have fun. Check out Hometown BBQ in red hook (incredible spot) and on the lager front if you haven’t been to threes brewing before I think you’ll like it. Had a kicking and screaming recently that was excellent. Place is only 5 min uber/20 min walk from OH

    I had the base which was ok..my bottle of Cognac was infected and gushed literally everywhere when I opened it after holding it a few weeks so I dunno. If I am there maybe I'll grab a bottle for science.

    Aw man, I'm so stoked. I appreciate the tips. Hometown is wicked close to the airbnb we're staying at, so that is definitely on the list. I've always wanted to check out Threes, I'm gonna try to make it up there too.

    Today is my birthday so she surprised me last night with this weekend trip up to BK. Can't wait!:heavymetal:

    Show up at 10am to hang out with the line people trading beers, show up at 11am to buy what you want with no wait.

    Enjoy and have fun in the beer Disneyland that is Brooklyn where having another one is no problem with subway, walking, and ride share.

    At the taproom now and Green Diamonds is going for $8-8oz pour. Back in my day we used to get a flight for $5 in the taproom! *shakes fist*
    On a positive note, Hops Only is tasting great.
