The beauty of microdosing.... jk I’m all hopped up on ‘tose and fruity pebbles.

 

I had the coffee anni stout on tap friday night b4 I went home. I liked it a lot. reminded me of snowbirds

 

I'll preface this by saying I haven't had a beer since before the holidays so perhaps my palate has had time to reset or something, but I'm drinking my first can of Vapor Ringz and it's hitting all the right buttons. The Galaxy/Nelson combo works really well, Citra rounds it out but I'd say it's definitely more Galaxy/Nelson dominant. This beer really pops and has that classic OH hop bite at the end.

I'm moving out of the state at the end of the month and will miss OH probably more than anything else in the city. Fingers crossed for a Hop Showers and SDH variant drop before I leave!

I'm honestly surprised that OH hasn't done an 12+% IPA yet, although tbh I don't actually want them too, my fridge is full of 10% beers right now as it is.

 

Oh God I hope OH doesn't start putting liquor in their beer too

 

The Veil and Aslin have dipped into the +12+IPAs to mixed results, IMO. Just gets hard to hide all the booze.

 

I found the sweet spot for the 3x/4x DDH IPA's is between 10-11% abv..anything more than that and it becomes a chore to drink

 

I had Aslin's Triple Orange Starfish a while back, and thought it was pretty awesome. I guess I could tell that it was probably very high ABV, but I still didn't get any of that straight alcohol burn.

That said, I don't really need a 12% IPA. OH seems to have nailed that 8-9% range.
