Pretty sure I saw him on the Evil Twin IG from last night at a restaurant in Bk.
But they brewed the beer 1-2 weeks ago =) Not saying I see that trend at all though.
Now I get it
Any cans left for sunday?
Instagram is your friend and yes.
Surprise drop of EQs version of Shook Ones too
Ohh I’m heading there in a bit maybe I’ll grab a 4
Couldn’t wait any longer and finally cracked my first triple space diamonds. I think it’s great. Super pungent aroma right off the bat. A tad too sweet at first but after 10 minutes warmed up, sweetness dies off and just tastes like a more intense space diamonds. Happy to nurse this one for a while.
Went (twice) this weekend for the first time since Summer '16. New taproom is awesome. I tried a bunch of different stuff on tap on Friday in 4oz pours because of the Veil event. Triple Mylar Daydream is an elite TIPA.
Pretty crazy (1) how small the brewery appears, and (2) the amount of stuff they are putting out on a regular basis. I know someone has said on here that they brew 24/7, but it's still remarkable to me. Between the draft list and can/bottle options, it is a ticker's paradise.
As icing on the cake, I was able to get a parking spot right out front on Friday night and Sunday at open.
What day do they release on a holiday weekend,? I assume it won’t be on a Saturday.
Its usually Friday at noon for holiday weekend releases, I assume it will be the same.
It's larger than you think. I believe it's been mentioned before that they occupy a lot of property on that block and they brew 24/7.
The Bru-1 Hop Showers is awesome. Do they use Bru-1 in anything else?
forgot to mention, i grabbed my Green City ticket, see yall there!
Please for the love of god give us an all citra beer that is not a triple. Please
Double Dry Hopped Less Citra Than More Citra Than All Citra Everything (FKA Double Dry Hopped All Citra Everything)
JFC no more triples please .
Something to think about when you're next chugging that 'nilla (I'll post the article on wild thai bananas if/when that ever gets published)
You guys don't enjoy sitting in your backyards in 85+ heat drinking a thick 10.5% milkshake IPA or a 15% pastry stout brewed with maple and peanut butter, buncha cowards here
Got back from a long run in the 80+ degree heat yesterday. Overdid it big time. Too fast, too far and zero hydration:
Me[crawling into apartment]: aarggnnn (pointing at snifter)
Wife: what's the matter? you look awful. you want water?
Me: (pointing at fridge) AARRRGGNNNN
Wife: cold water?
Me: (summoning final ounce of strength) I SAID GET ME THE FUCKING GAME IS THICCC. THE PEANUT BUTTER ONE
I was about to make a post about cracking open a nice big pastry stout after mowing my lawn in 80 degree weather, but @rozzom seems to have all bases covered.
i heard quadruple hop shower daydream is up next, and a collab bottle with trillium and veil that is just a bottle of molasses.
"3x more sugar than we usually put in our beers, making this one of the most expensive to produce beers we've ever made"
Good lord enough with these huge ABV beers.
Dig a Roos sounds interesting..
Was hoping for Broccoli, Mylar, or Experimental/All Citra for this weekend. I'm quite pleased with the Broccoli and will try 'Roos.
Fingers crossed for Wednesday single or double classic release.
crossed, I will be stopping in tomorrow after work regardless
Damn what a great midweek drop. If only my fridge had room...
Fuck yes. That’s what I’m talking about. Thank you @creepyownerguy
well now I have to decide which I buy tomorrow!
Anyone know when traffic gets really bad leaving Brooklyn on holiday weekends like this one? I’ve hit some leaving before and wondering if it’s even worth running in and out on Friday.
If the release is 12 on Friday I would not worry about traffic. It it’s any later than 3pm, you won’t be so lucky.
I remember the pre-Thanksgiving DMD drop a few years back at 3pm and the shitshow of a commute to get back home after. Took me almost 3 hrs. I live 22 miles away.
I think the rule of thumb is to assume that it could be horrific. Sort of depends on your route in and out. If the morning is doable maybe that wouldn’t be too bad. But I’ve done afternoon departures (like a rookie) and been in horrendous traffic.
Left Williamsburg (friend lived there) at 2pm on a Friday once. Took almost three hours to get to other side of holland tunnel
Thinking like leaving back to NJ by 1. Not through Manhattan at all.
A friend of mine is thinking the same from Monmouth County and cutting through SI.
Told him, my opinion it all really will depend. I leave north jersey to head down everyday and Fridays on a holiday weekend for me working turn a 90 minute commute to nearly double at times
Hopefully no one hates the (dumb rookie) type question but is it safe to assume most of the better cans are typically gone by Sunday?
Will be visiting this weekend but sadly can only get to OH on Sunday afternoon. Shouts to OH for the day earlier release so it's probably more picked over than a usual weekend? haha.
