While it was one note that delivered, I thought it was somewhat one note coconut at release.

I know I'm in the minority, but I like this beer a lot. It's got a cherry/grape cough syrup thing that I really enjoy. I'm a sucker for any ipa that throws fruity flavor other than stone fruit/citrus. That includes any blueberry Mosaic beer, Idaho 7 beers, BELMA THE GREATEST HOP OF ALL TIME BECAUSE OF ITS STRAWBERRY GOODNESS, etc

I wonder how this new Hop Showers will compare to the Citra+Cashmere...according to my Untappd notes I really enjoyed that beer.

Sam was the most recent guest on Craft Beer & Brewing's podcast. An interesting listen, including that they don't dry hop at peak fermentation, they don't fool around with trying to find just the right dry hop temperature for extraction, and that they centrifuge every beer they brew in Brooklyn. Only about half-way through the podcast, hopefully some more insights to come.

It was a good episode. I was hoping he would give a BA hates lactose shout-out, but no such luck. Another interesting takeaway is I think he did mention that they don't recommend aging their adjunct stouts due to how they are made.

    Galaxy+Cashmere was excellent as well!

I think (hope?) we're probably going to start seeing a lot of Cashmere, Medusa, Strata, and Sabro hops.

I think it would be a YMMV type of thing. Most brewers with an adjunct stout would say drink it as fresh as you can, as the beer is ready and the adjuncts will die off over time. Thats not to say that they won't last for some time, but as time goes on they should like die off more and more

I thought “don’t sit on adjunct stouts” was as standard as “don’t sit on hoppy beers”

but still you see razzles and trades for BA Affogato, and trillium selling Tiramisu bottles at cellar sunday nearly a year after it came out... it seems like there are some conflicting messages from different brewers...

Double Medusa has this really cool, unique fruit flavor, but its single hop really hits just one note, lightly.

Followed this up with Dreamiest, which is so different: dank, stone fruit candy.

These guest stouts (Jam, Noise)...I guess if everyone else is doing balanced, OH differentiator IS the sweetness. I think I get it now. Not saying I like it.

The Monkish takeover probably won’t help that possibility.
