Had a softly spoken magic spells from single cut followed by broccoli reserve and there is too much sugar in other half’s beer. Seems like they took a nice cue from trillium because it’s way to sweet. Sorry dudes.

I don’t get why they are doing that. I ( sort of) understand people liking sweet stouts but overtly sweet IPA with no hop presence? GTFO

Really damn good. A little alcohol burn on some sips but a really great DIPA. Broccoli reserve has a nice dank hoppy nose but the taste is super sweet. I can taste it throughout their ipas now just like trills ipas.

I had a Broccoli reserve tonight and didn't get an overt sweetness, but I am a bit congested from some early season allergies, so maybe I need to revisit with my other cans. I do agree that OH beers have been shifting to the sweeter profile. After trying the 3 Sons IPA that was on tap Sat when I stopped in the taproom I really saw it. That IPA had great hop burn and was very dank and didnt have a sweetness that OH sometimes has now. Whatever it is that has changed is def noticeable in a lot of their stuff. I figure its due to the same thing I have said many times before, being that a good portion of people who are into craft now are newer to craft and don't like the more traditional tastes of beer. they hover towards a sweeter, creamer style drink as its more palatable to them and thats what some places are catering to in order to make their money.

Other Half posted they’re going to limit the amount of people they allow in the taproom to give people personal space. Actually their plan for corona they have outlined is pretty good. Maybe some government officials should consult with them.

Was thinking about driving in to stock up tomorrow but not sure if it's worth it with everything going on. Someone mentioned their taproom policy but I didn't see it. Anyone point me in the right direction. Don't really want to drive 2 hours each way and risk getting shut down..

LOL yeah they're letting fewer people in because NYC is making everyone stash half their chairs.

You can buy cans from their warehouse, it is basically buying beer out of their garage, 100yds down the street from their taproom. It is basically open air so you'll be able to grab beer and go without going inside any building.

While looking in my fridge I realized I may have made a major tactical error when I committed myself to drinking less/buying fewer beers this year.

I hope @fdonnelly ’s resolution of not buying packaged beers if the wind is blowing from the SSW on the second Tuesday of any 30 day month didn’t backfire as well. Seemed like a very effective way to cut back, but 20/20 hindsight and all that

This is my exact plan. Or it might just be an excuse and it will also be my plan next Saturday and then the Saturday after and so on.

Right? My daughter’s soccer tournament this weekend was cancelled so now I can stock up (even though I already did last weekend) for the weeks ahead.
