Here is my predicted OH NEIPA end state:

    The year is 2022.

Biden is in the White House and is President of the Northern United States of America.

Darth Trump (official self-anointed title; to smirk at its use is punishable by castration), is Supreme Leader of the People's Democratic Republic of Trumptopia (formerly Florida; annexed following the 2020 presidential election, and after some barely perfunctory push back from the NUSA for the purpose of international optics). McConnell, DeSantis and Paul are his most trusted lieutenants. They wear their uniform of ass-less chaps and leather trench coats with pride. COVID - vaccinated elsewhere - is still rife, but nobody has to worry about looking like a ***** by wearing a mask, or inadvertently turning into a liberal ********* from getting the vaccine.

Other Half releases their 8th anniversary IPA. It is a sextuple NEIPA using patented HDHC Cubed™ technology. It costs $38 per 4 pack. It comes with a spoon.

I regretfully (sarcasm) bought 3 of the HDHC variations. I was compelled to buy AME HDHC because I remember the AME from a couple months back being one of my favorites. I do however hate that the prices are going up up up in the economic disaster of our lives. I'm fortunate to be able to afford them but it just seems in poor taste. Going to the taproom is still such a pleasant experience with no line, a very well organized system, and friendly staff. I do hope this does not become the norm. $22 for a 4-pack is going to drive me back to the bodega for beer. I hope I don't sound too petty.

HDHC HS being announced after my order was a real gut punch. IDK if I will bite. Perhaps reviews will roll in and supply will stay strong with folks out of town for the weekend. I hope everyone enjoys their beer and holiday weekend on what is surely an independence day for the ages. Don't lose any digits with the fireworks.

I mean you must have an issue with so many breweries then. You want guaranteed consistency, you drink Bud and you eat at McDonald's (jk - stand down @RobNewton, wherever you are).

Some people on BA would argue that batch variation is the appeal of craft. I wouldn't go quite that far. But I mean c'mon - that is not a 2020 OH thing. It's an all brewery all year every year thing. If there was no batch variation (perceived or real), then the BA forum volumes would be down about 80%. We've agonized over every release/variant of Space, ACE, etc since they were first brewed.

And I totally agree with @algebeeric_topology - a huge part of it is the constantly increasing, moar moar moar-based expectations. Imagine (if it were possible to replicate) OH released batches of some of their core beers that were identical to their first ever releases. Whatever people may say when reminiscing, I am sure the complaints would outweigh the praise.

This is me every year for anniversary beers. After "getting there early" for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, I remember 4th being the only one I wanted to drink. 2nd just couldn't compare even though 2 years prior it was among the best beers I'd had.

Hops cost the same regardless of the quality of the harvest for the year. If anything, hop costs are going up due to the demand from all the new craft brewers popping up everywhere.

Eeghad Brain... please no, I hate election years... Imagine if you hated both parties... Please let this year be over.

I would take more Wydens and Pauls... I don't get the hate for Rand Paul by Dems, he's dream boy GOPer, anti-war, anti-drug war, pro-prison reform, & anti-Patriot Act (he's just water down version of his dad). You don't get Sanders in KY, you get him or McConnell. If Trump does pull this off again I hope Paul always gets that last word in his ear, and maybe we get legal weed, no new wars, and maybe less old wars.

HDHC Green City, was very Citra forward, no big melon notes.

HDHC HS get 4 buck bump like Roc Showers, that's horse shit.

HDHC ACE is drinking even better than yesterday already. But, since it's all about Citra right now...

Extra Shipper is the best citra Beer OH has made this year. Maybe best IPA collab. Change my mind.

The Triple IPAs are other half's highest ratest. (besides the heavier BA stouts). Mylar is thick and creamy as hell, borderline triple.

There is a clear demarcation in Untapped IPA ratings where Triples > Doubles > Single by a large margin.

Let's not get into the weeds too much here but, if your neighbor (who is also a doctor) thinks so poorly of you that he has to kick your ass you're probably a piece of shit.

Course you also get no anti-lynching bills, and the same dummy that thinks he knows better than fauci (the same rand Paul that brought Coronavirus to Capitol Hill). He's at best a doofus, that dummy that read some Ann rand and got a C- in a couple poli sci classes and thinks he knows... Well... Anything.

As for these HDHCs, I imagine they do cost more to make, but yeah, the $2 does add up in these times. Holding off until weekend to try, but I guess I'll put my two sense in on whether this is THE FUTURE. I will say I think the anniversary beers peaked at 4th... Right balance of dank/hoppy/juicy. Earlier versions were less juicy and harsher, both since have been boozy and sweet and lacking hop bite.

Excited to crack an ACE tonight. Extra Shipper was great. As a collab this year that includes citra I’d agree. Best beer with citra this year period - citra + strata hands down. It’s not close in my mind

    I missed Citra+Strata unfortunately.

However, so far my favorite IPA of the year is a Strata wet-hopped IPA from Cloudbursting I was lucky enough to get when I was seattle during the harvest season. The hops came in the day before, I drank it the next day. Strate is the new hotness.

UGH! Seattle. Was supposed to return to the (alternate)homeland next Wednesday for a bachelor party but alas the trip, and wedding, and everything else is postponed. What a place to be in the summertime. Go Huskies.

This probably has been answered already, but what is the difference between Mosaic Dream and All Mosaic?? Is MD retired?
