Hops on 27 (store) I've been told has a good can selection as well. Otherwise there is milk and hops somewhat close by for tap and takeaway.

Just go to Haymaker. Even if they don’t have OH stuff, they’ll probably have a few cans to go and their usual stellar tap list. Plus, your walk to your train is barely 5 minutes. I often don’t leave the place until my train is 7 minutes away from leaving.

Weren't they Tues/Thurs last year? maybe I am not remembering correctly

Whoa, curious on this as well. What time was this? I was picking up my GF from her office off 42nd which is like 2 miles from there around 2pm and there wasn't anything I heard or saw.

It was a about 645 when it happened. There were fire trucks down the street so I was thinking it may have been an electric or gas thing (I don’t know crap about that stuff but naively deducting.) Google shows nothing though.

yeah, could have been some type of transformer going to something too. I'm sure thats a pretty wild scene, especially on a weekend in NYC.

Thanks fellas. Stopped by Haymaker. Had the Trillium Sour IPA on tap and grabbed a four pack of the Boysenberry Crunchee.

On the train back to Philly with my precious liquid. Cheers NYC

also, hope that Oat Overdose makes it to Ardmore. As a Tired Hands fanboy, pretty bum i missed the release by a day

Also, every single time I come to NYC and stop by OH for to go beer, I always convince myself to grab the insulated tote. And it rips. Every. Single. Time

    Oat Overdose ⠀

We are very humbled to be selected as one of @otherhalfnyc #fanfam this year. The beer that was given to us to help re-release on Tuesday, 1/21 at 5pm, is Oat Overdose . This beer was done in collaboration with @tiredhandsbrewing out of Ardmore, PA. It is a 6 5% ABV single IPA. It is brewed with oat malt and honey . They used a bunch of hops in this brew: Nelson, Galaxy, Azacca, and Amarillo. ⠀

This has to be one of favorite Other Half memories...although we had been there before, the big release that really drew us into the Other Half experience was Like Whoa! Through that beer we met so many great people. Whether it was the in line share, the taproom, or the trades that established great friendships, that beer really is sentimental to us and we loved to see it return last year. Since then we've met many other amazing people and are extremely grateful to have a place like Other Half. It's provided great friends, great times, and most of all great beers! Happy 6th anniversary and cheers to many more!!! ⠀

Oat Overdose India Pale Ale(6.5%) with @tiredhandsbrewing. This was one of our biggest early collabs and we've been dying to re-visit this great beer. Thanks to our friends @tiredhandsbrewing for getting behind a re-make of this one! Brewed with a ton of oat malt, honey and a ton of Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, Azacca and Amarillo. $16 per 4 pack, 1 case per person⠀
    ⠀
Thanks to @batmanandbeer for announcing this beer, see you guys, Tuesday at 5pm!

I feel like this story of buying an overpriced tote at the hype brewery that caters to Instagram beer haul posters and pastry boiz... That then immediately fails...is basically the perfect metaphor for American crony capitalism in the 21st century. And, you know, helpful... So nobody here buys what I assume is overpriced branded POS. Personally, btw, for a couple 4 packs (maybe 10 cans), the best thing I've found for a reasonable cost is the Coleman backpack and an Engel 32 freezer pack. Without the freezer pack you can fit probably 4 more.

Mind linking me to said Coleman backpack?

The totes cool but they’re def trying to take advantage of tourists like myself at $10. One time use only pretty much.

In terms of bags, I have an Adidas string bag I bought for like $8 that I can fit 12+ cans in, and it’s never shown a single sign of stress. It’s not the most ergonomic so it’s not ideal if you’re planning on a whole day traipsing around, but it’s light and compact so for a subway ride to/from Manhattan it’s pretty good.

Ugly, but with a good freezer pack it'll keep stuff cold for hours. If you're just getting it home for the fridge sans freezer pack it'll still keep things from heating up too much even in summer, certainly better than an uninsulated bag, though it's not like one of those crazy $100 bags or anything... Which even those need a freezer pack to perform optimally. I've had good luck with no tearing or wear on the straps myself, so if you get it hopefully it holds up well.

Is #2020H the year of the OH branded Yeti cooler line?

I was grabbing cans a few months ago, and Ramesh asked if I would hypothetically buy an OH branded one. They seemed to be contemplating the concept - nothing yet though obviously. Multiple employees have warned me against buying the $$$$ cooler thing they currently (or used to - I haven’t looked in a while) carry.

I think I’m committed to going tomorrow so what was good that’s still available from Saturday? Anyone? ...Bueller? Definitely eyeballing that S’mores stout.
