Waiting for those Barrel Aged Stouts to drop. I'm assuming tomorrow before Thanksgiving?.OH stout pricing is a steal compared to BCBS...

I saw barrels of Snowbirds 4 on the sidewalk yesterday when I picked up the most melony DDH DMD ever.

    *shakes fist in air

Hmm, Snowbirds 4 was a tricky one... I had major fomo missing it then appreciated the shitty reviews. Sorry @Comparison_Ford and others.

Side note, anybody ever warm up a pastry stout like hot chocolate and got a review? Do I need to be the first?

Stout season is in full swing and we've got two fresh and two barrel aged Double Sunsets coming your way tomorrow, Wednesday, starting at noon. These will all be posted for sale online at 9am Wednesday morning. We’re very excited about the coffees we selected for this years batch! Order for Curbside Pickup using the link in bio. ⠀
    ⠀
2020 Double Sunset Imperial Stout (13.0%) with Mudhouse Roasters Ethiopian Teshome Gemechu Coffee, Vanilla and Milk Sugar. We have worked with the fine folks at Mudhouse on our Double Sunset stouts the last few years and this year is no different bringing in this Ethiopian coffee they describe as having toasted almond, white peach and brown sugar. $16 per bottle. ⠀
    ⠀
2020 Double Sunset Imperial Stout (13.0%) with Ceremony Coffee Roasters Mexican Siltepec Coffee, Vanilla and Milk Sugar. Ceremony is down near our DC location in the fair land of Baltimore and is a regular in our coffee drinking rotation. This Mexican Siltepec is sweet and clean. The folks at Ceremony describe it as walnut and date and it definitely has some chocolate notes. $16 per bottle. ⠀
    ⠀
2019 Double Sunset Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (13.0%) with Coava Coffee Roasters Guatemalan Nayo Ovalle Coffee, Vanilla and Milk Sugar. A favorite coffee around here with big rich chocolate notes. Coava describes it as orange, almond butter and milk chocolate. $22 per bottle. ⠀
    ⠀
2019 Double Sunset Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (13.0%) with Mighty Oak Coffee Roasters Ethiopian Sasaba Coffee, Vanilla and Milk Sugar. This one from our Queens neighbors is a new one to us but has some interesting flavors going on. Mighty Oak describes it as Lime, Cocoa and Hops. Hops! $22 per bottle.

Triple Space Cut - did I miss something announcing this? Space Diamonds crossed with some kind of "Cut-themed" strata series? Or is this just something from FLX/DMV they brought up.

Certainly feels that way - I rely on one BA forum over four Instagram accounts.

Website needs a secondary glamour shot of each can from aerial view to identify tab color.

This is macabre and beneath the intelligence of our resident PhD. An Other Half pastry stout at ambient temperature is already an exercise in pure masochism. At 160°F, it'd be a deathwish.

My first thought was "Why would you microwave a stout?" Then I realized that's just insane. Who would heat up a stout in a microwave?

Rob would heat it up in his all-clad sauce pan on his 36" Viking stove.

We may have gotten carried away this time, but how do you ever find the limit if you don't push the boundaries? Come give our little Mylar experiment a try, today starting at noon. Link to order Curbside Pickup in bio. ⠀
    ⠀
Also, just a reminder that we're open tomorrow from 10am - 6pm, so you can always swing by if you run out of beer or just need to get out of the house. ⠀
    ⠀
DHDHC Mylar Bags Imperial IPA (8.8%) We just had to do it, at least once. We decided to double the HDHC treatment on Mylar Bags. We aggressively dialed back the base Mylar Bags bitterness, and added Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado and Amarillo in aggressive volumes. It's like drinking a whole 6-pack of IPA from the early 2000's all at once. We had to push the limits just once to see what would happen! $24 per 4 pack. ⠀
    ⠀
Triple Citra Daydream Imperial Oat Cream IPA (10.5%) oats, a hint of lactose and tons of Citra combine to make Citra hop candy. If Thanksgiving doesn't make you happy this surely will. $22 per 4 pack.

Looking forward to hearing reviews on that DHDHC Mylar cuz it just sounds like a waste of hops to me.

It's just gluhwein for pastry stout fants!

Let me take this moment to plug the McDonalds app that automatically applies coupons to eligible items in your order.

It's so good. Here's to DHDHC Mylar being an absolute melon bomb! Dialed back bitterness? Yes.

Frankly, I'm flabbergasted by the responses to this idea! It probably would've gained more traction before you all went and became crispyboiz on me. I should instead just have done it and told you all about my artisanal hot chocolate that had coconut, cinnamon, marcona almonds, wild thai banana, a splash of vanilla, and a bit of a buzz!

I'm in for a couple 4 packs of Mylar today. Think I will pass on Double Sunset since last year's BA ones were just...average.

Drinking DHDHC Mylar, very tasty, super "juicy" but yes, prominent melon notes. I'm down with it and maybe you should be too.
