News flash: kids don’t hustle for money anymore. They accept Venmo from their grandparents so they can buy power ups (or whatever the fuck) on fortnite.

Edit: from one teacher to another, do you not feign interest/slightly incorrect familiarity in what the kids like to make it less interesting to them?

I've started using, "wow, wasn't that lit???" after solving a problem at the zoom whiteboard.

Absolutely. It's one of the perks of being a teacher. I don't even have to act--I just use the lingo as best as I can and just watch all the palms hitting the faces.

Hahaha I deserve this. Hopefully @Xerlic doesn’t accuse me of flexing again hahaha - cos this is purely a practical matter. But the driveway is 100 yards long. Neither I nor an enterprising local kid with a shovel are going to be able to handle that.

I imagine you standing at your bay window watching your 100 yard driveway get plowed and nodding with satisfaction. Then you retire to the parlor and ring your tiny bell so Jeeves can open a bottle of snowbirds and bring it to you on a silver tray.

This is too good and (mostly) too true, but you'll remember that his bottles of Snowbirds haven't reached him yet.....because he lives way out in the fucking suburbs.

So in all seriousness, 300 feet of driveway is a looooooooong f'in driveway. My driveway is about 50 feet long, and it still took me an hour to clear it with a snowblower. Cleaning snow sucks. #suburbanitessticktogether

Depends on the width though doesn't it, whether or not you can handle it? :smirk:

    Great! More penis jokes!

Yeah, you gotta figure that with a 300-foot driveway @rozzom is clearly compensating for serious shortcomings in another area. If you know what I mean...

All I will say about this is that those in glass houses in the woods of Connecticut should not throw stones about what's local to Other Half.

The Glass House in New Canaan? I bet all Other Half beers taste amazing in that house.

At the expense of mocking from certain suburbanites, in OH's story there are additional drop sites in NJ. Not sure how accurate it is relative to things actually still being in stock, but in case anyone was looking to grab some Mylar etc. it seems pretty available. I'll try some mylar tonight. Wasn't going to have any but saw some vapor ringz still sitting. Had the Vapor ringz last night, and it was actually not overly sweet. Galaxy isn't what it was back in the good old days, but at least offset the sweetness and it had some actual bitterness. Still holds as the only lactose beer I consistently enjoy, from OH or elsewhere.

All this distro has me a tiny bit scared knowing what happened to the quality at EQ. Is this unfounded?

EQs issues are heavily based on oxidation issues right? I mean OH hasn't recently increased BK production of these beers, though obviously with no tap lines they're canning more. I haven't heard nor ever had oxidation issues with OH, though I'm sure it occasionally happens. As for taste etc, the complaints, including by me, that the recipes have favored very low IBU and melon too frequently was a complaint predating COVID. So I'll say no, with the caveat that the increase overall in their number of production sites could be an issue if there aren't enough quality hops to go around. See: Galaxy complaints.

Whats the consensus on what beers are drinking best right now, heading over to BK around 2 and will prob stop. If anyone does go get ACE prior to that and has one let me know, if not I can be the guiena pig!

If I were to sip a single OH beer in a modernist masterpiece, it'd be Fallingwater. But more than one? The Glass House for sure. The maintenance on those cantilevers must be murder.
