had a couple of fruit forward beers last night... City Slickers being one of them. It was not as balanced as I remember it but still good enough that I'm happy I have 3 more. But what I enoyed even more so was this sour from Nightmare brewing. Have any of you had this stuff? It's my second offering from them ('glasgow smile' and last night 'Lingchi'). Grab some if you find it out in the wild. Both were delicious, and the can art is amazingly vivid and gruesome.

I have had a few Nightmare, I enjoyed what I have had thus far. Believe he is the head brewer at Sand City and this is his side project to brew with more freedom

unless it has some sort of alternate meaning, “Glasgow Smile” is a pretty dark name for a beer

All their beer names are various methods of torture. That and can art seem like they're trying a bit too hard, but the beer is more than solid. To me they're the best of that bunch of brands working under/with12% Beer Imports.

Well my questions regarding moderation have been answered, by them deleting my post asking about deleted posts.
Sensible! I can totally see why this is the forum of choice to discuss beer. /s

He was. He’s not with SC anymore. Nightmare is his only gig now.
Billy couldn’t be any nicer of a dude but trust me on this, he’s not trying too hard, that’s just who he is and what he’s into.

Yea I'm probably just being unfairly judgmental because the aesthetic isn't my thing.

I don’t know him that well but I’m comfortable enough to say he’s definitely not faking any of it, it’s legit. Also, he’s fuckin hilarious.

Skip Hopslam at your own expense. The palate can only take so much haze.

I definitely dislike people shitting on the beers of yesteryear just because they’re not a juicy DIPA - but I’ve never liked Hopslam

Also funny about Billy’s niche hobbies. How can you be genuinely “into” Glasgow smiles / Chelsea smiles.

Maybe the guy is into ancient civilizations and the torture methods performed by their governments. I guess unless he isn’t actually performing the Glasgow Smiles or the Scaphisms himself on their IG page, it isn’t genuine.

The best is when you read comments about a TIPA and you see someone say "So good! It tastes just like a DIPA!". If you're happy that your triple tastes like a double.... why not just drink a double?

Whether or not you like the aesthetic, you have to admit the branding is on point.

Rob is a self-proclaimed hazeboi through and through.

    lol @ maltslam.

Isn't it because flavors bind to the alcohol molecules, effectively creating more flavor? If you can eliminate/mask the alcohol taste?
This is also why singles tend to be harder to pull off.

Personally I still think doubles are generally my sweet spot and generally would want fewer triples released (although as I am trying to drink less and there is way too much beer out there, how can I complain?), although some triples (particularly EQ, some OH, haven't had enough Monkish) are really nice.

Limelight, that's a name I havent heard in a while. I've been there few times myself.

Personally I'm a fan of the art and the whole theme.
