Like for real this has more in common with BCBS than OH’s typical stouts? A slightly more mellowed BCBS sounds great to me. I see it’s still available....

If you stand by that, then my attorney will shortly be reaching out asking you to wire $22 into escrow until this has been verified on my end.

Its a bit sweeter and smoother than it usually is but tastes pretty good. I was able to grab some Tuesday.

Looks like Pastrytown beers are being bottled today, hopefully an update soon!

Also it sounds like they're still looking for Pastrytown volunteers. You'll have the chance to buy the vip allotment, you'll get an OH gift card, and a little bit of time after to sample what's left on tap. I volunteered for Green City this year and I'd probably volunteer again for Pastrytown if I wasn't going!

Send me a pm if you're interested.

Why is Other Half, a company that presumably makes massive amounts of money every single day, using volunteers to run their for-profit events? Am I missing something here?

A chance to buy beer, store credit and left-over beer as payment?

A little amped up still from the democrat debate last night?

edit: I don't entirely disagree with the sentiment though!

@brandnewcardock while I agree with both your point and your politics, you have to respect this takedown.

How's AGE tasting? If there's some left Saturday might grab some with mylar. I used to enjoy it but that was pre changes so haven't had any since that recipe change.

This was from the November batch. Yup, delicious. Nice dank, not boozy at all.

Don’t think I would use the phrase “not boozy at all” to describe the current batch.

Never understood the "not boozy at all" or the "alcohol is well-hidden" praise. I want to taste the booze and burn. I'll steer clear if you can't taste what it actually is that you're drinking.

I generally give AGE a few weeks before I drink them. The one pictured was from November, not the one released on Saturday.

Why drink beer then? Just get a bottle of Fleishmann’s or Gordon’s, save a ton of money and call it a day.

I think it depends on the style. If a 3.5% dark mild has alcohol burn then that’s a problem. But with a 16% barleywine then yeah I’m expecting/looking for a bit of a kick.

For AGE / triple NEIPAs specifically then yeah I’m expecting a little bit of a bite, but don’t need my nose hairs burned off.

I had a martini last night actually. Plymouth not Gordon’s though. Very enjoyable change of pace.

I picked those 2 brands specifically because they’re terrible. I drank a half-gallon of Fleishmann’s with a friend of mine when I was 15 and ended up with alcohol poisoning. I couldn’t look at vodka for a decade. I still don’t particularly care for it.
