Reporting back on Juice Lovers. Poured cleaner than expected. Taste was standard for an 8% juicy IPA. Would I drink it again? Yes. Would I tell you to run out and buy it? I would not. On a scale of 0-1, I give it a 1.

The most adorable thing happened today when I went to pick up my order - the couple in front of me asked if I am a regular and if I could provide some assistance in choosing.

I looked at the menu of 100 items (too hard to read) and said get Mo+Ga and Space Diamonds. Pretty sure neither were on the paper taped to the brick facade. I saw they left with at least one Past & Present Porter. Godspeed to those two.

Mo+Ga is so damn good. Went back for another 4 of it. For me this the best thing I’ve had from OH in a year.

I wanted to grab one of each this afternoon but #1 was sold out at BK, figured it wasn’t worth it to not have both

so glad i stocked up on MoGa, just perfect berry/white wine notes, and feel like it'll develop well over the weeks to come

Just cracked my last can of Slice Joint. Thankful I split the 4-pack with someone. It's awful.

Wish I could pick up some MoGa but I told myself no more beer buying until I dwindle down my supply.

I was a big fan of the Cashmere hopped beers last year, anyone try Double Forever Cashmere and care to share their thoughts?

City Slickers one of my all time faves (label and flavor). Hopeful Cactus Palace hangs around long enough that I can grab that and Slickers when they release it.

Had a Mo+Ga last night and I am all aboard the hype train.

Slice Joint, and a couple of the other collabs that came with them, really turned me off of OH for a bit. I’m sure I’ll be back, but I need a break from them and the mediocrity.

The recent DDH All Citra Everything drop in NJ is phenomenal. Tastes like OG OH.

Just as that's a good, approachable place for them to start on their journey, it's not the sort of offering that those of us here — neck-deep in the craft beer weeds — should overlook either...

Personally, I applaud the Past & Present series. When your portfolio tends to be 90% IPAs, 5% pastry stouts, and 5% whatever the Crunchees are supposed to be, consciously exploring unfashionable styles/ingredients and returning to brewing's roots is an admirable endeavor. It certainly won't pay the bills, but it's a good thing for them, their staff, and the wider community. Because it's an occasion for everyone to step back and appreciate the things we often overlook, including all those old and noble traditions that got us here. That message is especially resonant today following heartrending developments down the coast.

Besides, wasn't Past & Present exactly the sort of concept that a fine gent like @frozyn was hoping they'd embark upon a year ago in his 2020 wish list? Can't fault them for not getting around to it in that shitstorm we all wish to forget, but here they are, in a fresh new year, taking up the gauntlet without delay.

Surely that ESB he craved is coming soon. And when it does, we should all buy a fucking case.
