He's a real fashion chameleon, that guy! I can still remember the daring leather jacket he wore to the first meetup I attended. It was a true statement piece that would've stole the show that day were it not for The White Powder Incident™.

When I saw him at DP a couple months ago during my visit, he'd run there and was decked out in sweaty workout clothes. Today, it's apparently Nantucket garb.

Sartorially, this man keeps you guessing.

I grabbed 1 4 pack. Definitely better than the one from like 2-3 months ago

Saw on the Facebook group that a guy in salmon pants was passed out in the dumpster. Any other stories from last night?

I got there early and only got to hang a bit with @hops_for_thought and @algebeeric_topology but the man in the salmon pants was well on his way to being “Kevin’d” by the time I left

Was very excited to pick up fresh Space Hallucinations yesterday, haven’t had Other Half since before the pandemic….but….it’s green af, un drinkable. Didn’t expect this from OH…this beer is a mess. Anyone know if it will improve with time?

When I went to OHDC last week, I thought most of the beers were pretty bad to be honest. Not sure if they'll improve with time because I didn't buy any. I had some good OH last Summer in NYC but man, the space at the DC spot is awesome, I wish the beer measured up.

What did you get? The beers I had when I visited a month ago were great and the stuff I've had in cans has been consistently pretty good. If anything the beers from Centre St were kind of a mess until recently.

Pretty bad was certainly hyperbole, but I'm not sure I'd order any of the beers again.
DDH Mylar Bags - main criticism was that the galaxy turned peanut. Had good tangy hop character, some menthol, a little of that bubblegummy/melony yeast character y'all rave about.
DDH Stacks - I liked this one
DDH Forever Citra - Worst beer I've had this year. It smelled like menthol and rotting fruit and if you got over that and actually tried it, it tasted like someone had put out a cigarette in this beer. Probably the beer I was most looking forward to trying because I love Citra but far and away the most disappointing.
Audible Chroma w/Phantasm - This was fine but a little underwhelming.

Thought Mosaic Dream was just okay (the can I had last summer was much better - fruit forward - this was drier and more barky bitter). The Other Half x Rothaus collab - I've seen people rave about it - I just don't get it. Like OH didn't mess up and make a bad beer there, but it's no where near as good as a reasonable age Rothaus IMO.

Damn forever citra sounds so miserable I almost want to try it

I thought the Mylar I had on tap Friday as excellent (stacks was solid, too) - I snagged cans but haven’t cracked one yet, hoping they’re good

I hope they're good too. I think OH has traditionally had a good balance of dank and fruity for the IPAs. What I had last week was much more dank and dry with limited fruit character. Besides the DDH Forever Citra, I'm not sure there was anything I'd say erred too far from intention. I don't know.

Consistency has certainly wobbled (euphemistic?) since expansion. In DC at taproom now and enjoyed tasters of Strawberry Cannibal (mercifully tangy, not overly sweet), Capitol Unlimited (hoppy and easy drinking). Circle Triangle Square tasted muddled, unremarkable, not a bad beer except by OH standards.

I also had some of the latest Mosaic Galaxy and loved that fruity dank combo.

Super cool space here, only way to improve is if there was a train nearby.

Also need a methadone clinic nearby for the real "I miss the old tap room" OH vibe.

The latest batch of Space Hallucinations, released Friday at the Brooklyn location, is a sickening drain pour, no Galaxy hop flavor to speak of, just a kind of rotten melon flavor. This is shocking, in that I expected an A list beer based on prior reviews as well as past experience with OH which was always good. Also bought Trippy Daydream and DDH Double Mosaic Dream, which I am afraid to try as they might still be too green or just plain bad. Does OH allow for refunds or exchanges?

No refunds on beer but you can exchange beer. Problem is you can only exchange entire 4 packs. If you drink one out of the pack then no exchange

Honestly I’ve never liked space hallucinations. They hit a sweet spot with the Galaxy in space diamonds (back when it was consistently stellar) and any bigger Galaxy beer they’d try was always too much. However, they apparently can load as much citra as they want sometimes and hit a home run. Sometimes. ok most of the time. Ok somewhere between sometimes and most of the time.

That's interesting, Forever Citra is definitely a DC beer but I think the rest besides the Rothaus pils are Brooklyn/FLX beers. I would also ask how recently have you had a Rothaus, while I haven't had them side by side, I literally had a Rothaus on draft today and my impression was that they are very similar, I think the real deal is better but OH's homage is close.
