It's a flower, common in Mediterranean dishes ( it's the signature spice in paelle)... It's pretty pricey, it's usually sold in super tiny jars, but a little goes a long way.

Now that I've become awoken to the existence of this thread primarily due to Instagram's ingenious comment-time-space-continuum algorithm I must ask: is 4th Ave Pub and Pacific Standard really a ~20 minute walk? That's a brisk pace for someone who does 5 miles a day. Surely we can populate that list with some better stuff in more proximate range. Don't mean to sound like I'm whining but if first timers are really using the resource let's not mislead.

Newcomer only by not knowing this page existed (sad face). For years I've only one stop shopped for beer at Other Half and my wife hates me for it. I'm glad I've found a home.

I’m a fast walker. I reckon I could do that in maybe 23-24 mins. 20 is very aggressive

Edit - worth noting that @RobNewton is ~6’10” so takes enormous strides

With this humidity that's crossing the street to get Big Mac... City folks have to remember we walk about 50% faster than the people from the 'burbs, we know where we are going, we constantly make progress towards point B ( steps vs a L, take advantage of hypotenuse streets), and know how to jay walk.

We cook with it all the time, mostly with basmatti rice...gives it that nice yellow color... but never thought of it as a potential stout ingredient. Curious to try this one...

I was expecting the stout to be a vanilla bomb given the description but its not, I think its still a little hot though.

Hey listen man my grandma happens to love extremely mediocre stouts from a brewery who has a bad track record releasing this style. Leave her out of this!!!!

When the instagram post went out my gma was already hobbling to the car to get some sweet sweet summer stout

That glass actually looks pretty dope, probably the best of that series. Although I don't like that the cut the tops and bottoms off of some of the broccoli, looks lazier than it should be.

Thought the exact same thing. It has a gold rim though so that helps.
