Pretty light/thin, not much cherry if I recall.

Yeah I know some people who really didn't like Bretty. I think it's good if you're not expecting too much cherry. The cherries add a bit of tartness, but nothing much more than that.

Hey guys -- I'll be there on Wednesday 12/22, any chance of there being beer to go in cans or bottles?

Slim chance with cans but they always have growlers available.

I am going to go out on limb and say they last until Wednesday.

I've gotten Diamonds cans on a Wednesday after before. That was during the summer though, the past few releases have not lasted that long.

Mmm AGE has mellowed out a bit since the canning. The alcohol heat is barely noticeable under the layer of fruity hops.

I agree, this batch is tasting killer right now. Definitely hot a week ago, but balanced and perfect tonight. Such a rad beer.

The fresh Superfun was awesome. Worth the trek. Hard to find the place. My Uber driver did not want to let me out!

Someone mentioned in the past waiting 2-3 weeks. Last time I got AGE I did that and it was great!

Still haven't cracked any from the last release, but may try one this weekend. Will be nice to try side by side with Kane Hop Lab Triple IPA.

I agree that OH beers sometimes need a bit of time to mellow out. The Hop Showers from the last release are tasting better than they did fresh. The only exception I can think of is Mosaic, which I thought was better fresh.

I always wait on Hop Showers and AGE. Sometimes AGE is extremely hot off the canning line and you get big unpleasant swigs of vodka-like taste. Green Diamonds I've found to be the most temperamental usually peaks 2-4 weeks in then drops off rather quickly. Sometimes it is is just so damn good off the line though moreso than AGE and hop showers.

You've got it dialed in for sure! I concur on all points.

Funny...I thought the prior batch of AGE was one of the best beers I've ever had when it was super fresh, but dropped off considerably after two weeks or so. This most recent batch I've been liking more and more as time passes. Simcoe is still tasting great. Batch variation is very real with Other Half IPAs, but they're all fairly exceptional regardless.

Gaddy Lane sandwiches sound promising for this Saturday.

The Mekelburg and Other Half beer dinner pairing was really good tonight. So much food.

Don't sleep on Superfun! cans if you're going on Saturday. Drinking really well this go around.
