At worst it is people reselling the beer in grey market. Or not as worse, but still bad, could be muling, muling sucks, people use mules to get around the brewery set limits so they can get more beer. Muling is flat out selfish.

 

Well... if you come with your 2 best friends, their girlfriends, your girlfriend, your girl friends brother and sister, your cousins and uncles...

 

And strangely there are three bottles of BA VOL in that pic despite the 2 bottle limit lol...

 

Hey, on my way out I talked to Kiernan and he said it was cool to grab one more. If he would have said no I would have been totally fine with it. However, rule of thumb, if you never ask, youll never get.

 

And one of them Im trading to someone because they couldnt make it out there, I consider it karma taking care of me.

 

It's all good man, I was just kidding. I asked my wife to go, she laughed.

 

2hrs each way by train, Im not surprised she laughed. I didnt crack a smile until I got home and laid out on my couch.

 

I caved and grabbed carshare car, and drove up. Made it a little costly, but was up and back in 1.5 hours. Sorry for going off track guys.

El Dorado is really good btw. Its juicy and bitter, but a very nice bitterness I enjoy. Definitely has a different profile than most of the other OH singles.

 

Its super tasty, definitely agree with your description of El Dorado, theres also a certain smoothness to it.

 

It was a joke, though not a funny one, about being adopted like a cat. Also the line was nutty. I made it in around 12:30 and while it looked like there were a ton of cans left, there was also STILL a line.

Really looking forward to this El Dorado.

anyone have an idea of how big the collaboration batch is? I'm assuming that's the only can they'll be releasing that day so maybe a bigger batch. Hoping that's the case.

You're assuming wrong. I was told by the dude at the register they'll be doing Green Diamonds as well.

 

Haha, I've decided that if I get to the point where I'm asking people to help me buy MORE beer because nearly 2 cases isn't enough then I'll know I have a (bigger) problem.

 

My wife likes craft beer quite a bit. I think I'll take a pic next time of all the women in line to see if I can convince her to mule come with me...while waiting in line I noticed quite a bit of guys walking out with multiple cases with their girlfriend behind them carrying a 4 pack or two. As the dude is struggling to carry all those beers he looks over his shoulder and says: "Honey, you got that okay??"

 

My GF is a big fan of craft too. And not that I need to justify my actions, but I bring her to almost every release (sans yesterday) and have never once asked her to get an allotment for me. She enjoys a few pints and the taproom and seeking out the cats. I have no doubt others mule, but I've come to realization that such is life.

I will say that if you're going to drink in line (despite warnings not to), please at least be a little less conspicuous. There was one guy drinking what looked like a 32 oz Heineken out of a brown paper bag yesterday. I personally don't give a shit if you get an open container ticket for it, but if OH somehow gets impacted indirectly from your actions, it's going to ruin releases for everyone.
