I agree a lot of their beers used to be more abrasive, but I feel like lately they've been on a really smooth, frothy kick. No Lay-ups, Motueka Galaxy, Double Mosaic, !, Simcoe Wai-iti, Always bet on Green, and now Greenprint which borders on creamy.

I can't wait for Space Diamonds.

Does anyone have an idea of what to expect from Space Diamonds vs Green Diamonds?

    #hazefordaze ?

I think the fact that its Galaxy will get "suckers" (like me) to buy it...

Wtf now we're calling people suckers because they're looking forward to an OH beer in an OH thread. What has been happening lately.

Not really based on the Green Diamonds recipe. More of a Double Galaxy IPA.

Galaxy is one of my favorites from their single hop series so I'm sure I'll love the imperial version. I can't make it there until later in the day so I'm probably gonna settle for a growler or two and a few four packs of any other beers that may have not sold out, which is more than good enough for me.

Does anyone still have Motueka + Galaxy? I have two or three left and just opened one and it's definitely starting to fade.

I had one the other night and thought it was still tasting incredible. I absolutely loved that beer. Hope they brew it again.

I love this beer too, but it definitely had a better taste fresh or even after two weeks. I'm not getting that lemon-lime citrus anymore.

Anyone know the hop bill on this one? I'm seeing it's up in the tap room now.

    EDIT: Found it on BeerMenus.

    Double IPA ยท 8.5% ABV
Galaxy, Citra, Amarillo, and El Dorado Hops!

    Sounds rad.

Speaking of Motueka+Galaxy, I still have one can of Debbie Downer from that release. Anyone know how it's held up? I know it wasn't a favorite with some folks. I could also answer my own question by cracking it tonight but figured maybe there would be some feedback.

It mellowed out quite nicely. Had one last week and thought it tasted way better than day one.

Agreed but at this point the white chocolate isnt noticeable. Just a really tasty mango ipa.

Had a Debbie a week or two ago and thought that battery-acid finish was still there.

I enjoyed Debbie right off the bat, I thought it was pretty unique. Pretty upset I only bought a 4 pack. I wanted to let one can chill for a while to see what would happen.

Finally got to opening my last Oat Overdose and it was still tasting amazing.

December batch of AGE also really delicious, admittedly less aroma though.

I don't know if you did this on purpose but I say...hooray.

I love fucking around and "experimenting" with beers. I also love blending beers. I still make half-and-halves and I've even attempted my own eisbock, which I thought came out fairly decently.

If you do this and it fails, it's just a beer, or at worse, two (who we kidding, I'd probably choke it down anyway). A chili or a stew always tastes better the second or the third day after it's made anyway. Sometimes it takes a little time for all the ingredients to come together and taste the way you want it to. I feel, and this is obviously just me, an IPA or a DIPA's sweet spot is in the 3-6 week spot. Any good enough beer should be able to stand 3 months, easy IMHO. I know, hop-this and hop-that, I've had many hoppy beers that still tasted class at 12 weeks.

Before I get yelled at for comparing IPAs to chili, remember...beer is supposed to be fun. You don't have to drink the second you get it. Although, if you want, go right ahead.
