I really disliked the last batch of stacks on tap and a couple of my cans were absolutely awful (like they went bad, hard to describe) so I'm gonna be staying away this time...Sticking with baby diamonds and trying the collabs.

First time I had Stacks was during the Barrier/Other Half event at OMH (pre-can), and it was the haziest/juiciest iteration of Stacks I’ve had. The more recent batches have not only appeared different, but have also given the palate a different feel; almost a completely different brew. In essence, I’ve been contemplating the actual pour I got at OMH (i.e. perhaps something from a different tap line). Of course, there’s talk about the centrifuge playing a role as well. In any case, that first pour, from that first batch, will remain unknown. Regardless each iteration, or brew (if different), was neither east/west but OH style

…this brings out the fond memories of Half & Half and Make it Rain

As far as Hop Showers, I saw some of those “intensified hazy” pictures from the last batch you’re referring too. However, my experience with the most recent canning run was no different than any others: pine, malt, resin, grass, slightly dry, bitter…delicious. But not nearly as hazy as others have made it out to be

If you show up at 10am, expect to wait in line for at least 2 hours. Also expect all of the collaboration cans to be sold out.

I thought the cans of stacks on stacks weren't very good either. Still have a few actually. Not sure what went wrong with them.

Man, that is too bad to hear (Maybe you should roll the cans on their side :grinning:). I drank a ton of them and it was among my favorite beers other half has done. The el dorado came through perfectly without being as pungently juicy (if that makes any sense) as some other el dorado dipas.

They only did one previous canning besides tomorrow of stacks, right?

Really ? Is it like this all the time ? I don't know if I'm going to show up at all then ... Waiting 2h under this 30 degree weather is crazy, especially if it's for nothing. Should I arrive at 9 am? Are people camping there or what ? x)

too bad I just want 4 of each

No, the wait shouldn't be that long. 4 cans will slow the line down a bit, but I expect showing up at 10 would mean you're out the door by 11:15 or so. Also, I might be off on times, but it seems like the most interesting beer has been selling out around 1230-2ish meaning you could potentially walk up at 1130 or so and not have an issue. I don't make any promises though!

A number of can fans come in from further away, jersey, long island, etc and make more of a point to show up early to make their trip worth the hike!

Also what do you mean 30 degrees? That's freezing, this will be closer to 100 :stuck_out_tongue:!

At the corner already, but it's a ton of chairs and single file. Counted less than 50

This line is stupid. It's also too early to be this hot.

The line is building fast and is easily going to wrap around the block by time they open.
