LOL 1 day in three years, cool story tho.

 

Nirvana lasted all of 24 hours

Yesterday - "thank you OH from the bottom of my heart. You have truly created the perfect beer drinking space"

Today - "hypefuckers"

Come on guys - despite what was said we all knew the new space wasn't going to solve all of earth's problems. People shouldn't be shocked that a certain segment of beer nerds continue to spoil things, and that OH continues to enable them.

 

They also stealth dropped buds life and have done many short-notice weekday releases lately.

They are great at hype but it's kind of silly to say they're "all hype all the time" today of all days. If they wanted to they could have opened the taproom, which people have been wanting for forever, with a ton of hype. A commemorative "All Taproom Everything" beer consisting of all their current offerings mixed together would have a line half way to new jersey.

 

Probably 50ish people in line right now.

 

I agree that the hype card can be overplayed

Buds life though doesn't qualify as a stealth drop for me. It was a pale ale being sold at the same time as a well documented IPA (with oats, three sexy hops, JW lees yeast) collab with the same brewery.

Hopefully once the newness off the space wears off, coupled with alleged frequent can drops, stupid shit like people getting in line early like this will subside.

 

Chairs work in Philly because saving spots with chairs is a Philly thing (same with Boston). I highly doubt that work work here.

 

Line maybe 20-30 people deep now, should be able to pop in and out in a bit.

 

Line is no longer out the door. Maybe a 10 minute wait when I was in line.

New taproom is awesome. Still crowded as hell through great that they separated growler fills from the main bar too.

 

Great problem to have with the tap list. Sticking with the 4 oz pours to try a bunch of things

 

Any updates on cans? Swing by in an hour

As of 6 pm line was dying down and still looked like they had a ton left

 

Hope it never comes to that, but entertainment value would be pretty awesome.

 

spoke too soon but i am realizing something. other half is world renowned. im in porto portugal and just popped into a beer bar and asked them if they had heard of OH. one of the bartenders showed me the magic rock collab can they did over here. he told me he had goosebumps when he tried it. cant wait to share some double cheddar and galaxy with these guys tomorrow.

 

Hoping cans are still available tomorrow since I'm leaving work early.

Way stoked that they have wine. Now I can bring the wife and she'll be happy.

 

Cmon, stop with all of this reality, still basking in the glory of yesterday ! Can we at least wait until Saturday line banter to throw cold water all over this !
