I've heard that most OH cans need a week or two to mellow in the can...would you say that's the case with today's releases?

Good with the bad today. Bad is the line was still long and slow at 11:15, and heard behind me this morning "I still haven't sold the last 4pack of twice baked, I might actually just have to trade it for other beer". WTF, just awful.

I really only wanted the galaxy beers so timing was good except the slow line late, but damn they are good. DDH Galaxy is really tasty out of the gate, but E+G is the star of the show. I missed Mylar which I would have liked (no interest in broccoli, overrated sorry), but mainly wanted the two I got. E+G is one of the better OH beers I have had in the last several months.

onions, grass, weed. fresh hops have that kind of a pungent smell and i really like ipas that showcase that. i like it when they mellow out as well. third anni was the perfect example of an explosion of fresh hops that mellowed to a more fruitier taste over time.

i prob wont let the E+G sit because i love it already and its a great showcase of those hops.

I actually like the original Broccoli way better than the DDH, and Mylar is great but I wasn't disappointed to miss it. I'm a Galaxy **** so I feel accomplished today lol

This. I'm getting more of an onion/garlic/earthy note on the nose than weed/dankness. Taste seems heavier on the Enigma than the Galaxy, but it's still a very good beer.

Note: the two galaxy beers from today are NOT on for draft or growlers. I imagine they'll come on later this week.

Everyone perceives different things from the same aroma. While I don't have a better comparison here unfortunately, take for example some people can smell the strong aroma of asparagus when you piss after eating it while some people cannot at all. Same with coffee. Point here is, nothing about these beers smells like onions to me. By no means are you wrong, but I sort of feel bad because it smells awesome to me.

I think they did the same thing with Simcoe. Which was also delicious.

Or maybe it's not DDH but they advertise it as such because they know those three letters can shut down beer geeks' minds and ability to be rational and they'll thus fork over obscene amounts of money for a common beer.

Was thinking we haven't seen DDH DMD canned recently. That and AGE has been even longer...

Didn't we get DMD in June? Not that long, seems like the single hop DIPAs come out every 2-ish months.

Venturing a guess that 3 beers means we're getting a DDH DMD double batch

I know, I know - keg distro doesn't always translate to what's canned, and we still don't know when we'll see the ever-morphing OH IPA that we were told would be canned soon

DDH DMD was a double batch in June, I doubt it'll be a double batch again

I know it was a July release, but just chiming in to say Coir Boiz is pretty meh, and I like coconut. Next time I won't buy 20 cans of something without trying it on tap first lol

Don't understand the mediocre reception of this beer I think it's outstanding. It tastes like ACE with coconut to me just fantastic. Wish I had even more. It seems like most aren't fans of it though.
