Having ridiculous lines like this is good for them.

 

Should have had bracelets today of all days not sure why that is not a good idea to help with cutting and the like.

 

They don't check the bracelets on days they do distribute them. They really are a shitshow.

 

There in lies the issue. Lining up at 330 am. Look, more power to you if you like standing in the cold on a sidewalk for literally 7+ hours, but the idea of "putting in the hours" is absurd. It's not like you're working and putting in the hours for a better bonus at the end of the year. It's beer, and you literally just waited 7+ hours for it.

 

anyone else notice that all the blowing up the spot cans have the same color label? I have 1 can in my case w a red label.

Got there at 5:50. Lined up on front of the recycling place. Was out by 11. I personally treat the OH line of more of a social gathering where I see friends every 2 weeks, have a couple beers and catch up. It's like a tailgate party. There are worse ways to spend an early Saturday morning. Cool if that's not your thing but it's what you make of it.

 

yup and I needed to be in and out and I was. I needed to ensure I got the beer I wanted and I got it. I had a great time hanging w friends on the line, if I wanted to have a party I could have (and honestly that's why most ppl come in the wee hrs, to bottle share and hang, not my bag and plenty of them got tickets for rolling the dice and trying that). I had my car right there so was able to sit in my car if I wanted....many ppl slept in their cars. no problems at all.

herein lies the problem, you and other whiners are entitled. ppl want something bad enough that they are willing to wait to ensure they get it and you want it also but don't want to wait so you complain cause you are entitled. mommy, it's not fair I want a turn too, but I don't want to wait on line....well sweety, if you want a turn you'll have to wait for it. it's like being in the playground w my kids. some parents teach their kids that they have to wait, other kids just cry about it. is lining up at 330a absurd? you bet it is, but that's the state of beer and other half releases like this one. if you are annoyed by it, then move on...don't look like it is changing and I know plenty of ppl who skipped this one cause the next one (broccoli) is gonna be the REAL hype machine.

other half is popular, very popular. if you can't handle the popularity, then stay in your bed and drink other beer while others wait in line. because other ppl are willing to wait doesn't make them a problem, just makes them fans who want the brew for whatever reason's they may have. the problem is not the system, if it was the system other half would change it. this is how they want to do it. they could clearly drop silent releases whenever and there could be cans available at all times, but that's not what they want. they want one big clusterfuck day to work hard and collapse. and guess what...no one noticed that you or the other whiners didn't come to wait in the line...and the release is sill gonna sell out.

Lol dude I never once complained about not getting beer. I didnt want to wait in line, so I didn't go. I have much better shit to do with my time then standing in line for 7 hours for beer. Thats why I said "more power to you", you must have missed that part. Congratulations to you for wanting the beer more than me, I made several hundred dollars and worked on projects on my home during the time you spent standing in the cold. I'd say time well spent. I'm here to comment on the fact that OH could go in a different route for releases that will alleviate the absurdity of waiting in line at 330am. I'm not here to complain about not getting beer. So move along.

170 cases of BUTS left. about 250+ people in line. I'm in front of the recycling place and about 210th.
