    It's too intense for me right now! I need to let that one sit a few days.

    Also I hate to say it, but DDH DMD is tasting much better than DDH Mylar.

    Unrelated note, popped a basic cane life (as opposed to all those wacky additive cane life bottles) and it was completely flat. :slight_frown:

    Is he wrong though? Being shut out like this would definitely piss me off, especially if I were visiting from somewhere more than 5-10 minutes away.

    All bars / breweries have last call. Gives time for people to finish their drinks, allows staff to start closing activities (washing glasses, closing bar tabs, etc). Feel sorry for him, if he got that greeting, but they were certainly within their rights to turn people away from the door at 15 minutes to closing. Why do they have to work even later than they would have to anyway? Need to show up earlier imo.

    Update: Fully Frothed was still delicious. Did try my first DDH Superillo from last week, and have to say it was the first disappointing Other Half I've had in months. Kinda flat and just not very interesting. Meanwhile, DDH DMD & DDH Mylar Bags continue to be some of the best beers I've had in ages

    Yes, he is. Every bar in the city has a last call. OH's is usually pretty generous TBH but I don't blame them for wanting to shut down on time on a day like today.

    I was there at closing yesterday and plenty of everything left. DDH Mylar Bags and Forever Simcoe are no longer on tap.

    Cracked a can of Motueka+Galaxy last night and it's drinking great right off the bat.

    It would be one thing if they shut him out of buying cans/bottles, if he was there for a pour then yes, last call.

    I think that's why they asked him what he was there for.

    But they're a retail operation.

    I could understand not serving him at the bar, but I'd be pretty upset if they gave him shit about cans/growlers.

    If you really want to buy something at any retail or bar establishment, get there more than 15 minutes before they close.

    *Note: applies to places other than breweries as well.
