I regularly attend releases (only occasionally at OH) and rarely buy more than a 4 pack of any one beer. Since I only drink n weekends it tends to pile up somewhat even with the low purchases. I always make my through it before the beers loses its taste. And I'm always buying more...repeat.

Haha weekend drinkers. I always find that kind of arbitrary. I drink about a beer a night, usually while I cook dinner and finish it up with dinner (since everybody does 16oz cans). I have a share at the office or with a friend about once a week, so there's another three or four beers we split. I really try to keep just two cans from each release, so it isn't that hard to get through those within four or five weeks (considering the rate of accumulation can be, on a good week with friends helping me gather), something like six or eight cans total.

Went overboard at Alchemist last weekend, and brought home 50 or so heady toppers, focal bangers and crushers, to go along with my OH DDH stash. Since I've been home, only wanted to drink my OH beers :astonished:

Has anyone had an issue with the Cane Life bottles suddenly busting? Came home to one that had busted along a seam, all along the bottle, spilling the contents everywhere.. I was thinking maybe carb issues? Don't know what to think.. It was placed upright on the floor, no disturbances. Beer was splattered around the area

Why is it "arbitrary" being a weekend drinker?

I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that he's saying that for people who literally spend their life worrying about beer and how to obtain it, where to obtain it, etc. It seems pretty ridiculous that they would spend 80% of their time to get beer while only drinking it 15% of the time.

I'd say that I drink around 6-7 beers a week, like once a day except when I go to the gym (twice per week). On weekends I tend to drink more or drink heavier stuff, like BA stout et similia. since I feel bad about just drinking IPA I alternate with other stuff, so no need to buy tons of those, considering how many are released in NY right now.
I'd estimate I go twice a month to OH and buy a 4-pack of the beers I want (not necessarily all,
e.g. no AGE last time ). I go to releases every time my fridge is empty or there is something i really want. since OH is not my only "supplier" (but still the biggest).
if there is a beer that sounds really good to me, but my fridge is still full, I look for it on draft of go to the taproom.
last but not least, I have a monthly beer-budget I try to not to exceed

But why does it matter how people enjoy their beer? So how I understand it is that you can only enjoy craft beer if you drink everyday. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Don't mean to offend anybody! I have friends that only drink on weekends and I miss drinking with them during the week is all :slight_frown:

You didn't offend. I just didn't get your point. For me, I just prefer drinking on weekends. It feels more like an end of week treat and I like staying completely sober during the work week (not that one or two gets a person drunk). Plus I'm often busy with running the kids around too. That's my system. Not arbritrary or unreasonable I think.

I don't drink during the week because I work from 8am and don't get home until almost 9 at night. Leaving me time to eat dinner, go to bed, repeat. So Friday is my time to relax. And I just so happen to be picky about the drinks I enjoy.

For those of you who drive in for these releases, where do you normally park that's not an obscene distance away? Thinking of coming all the way from South Jersey this weekend

Mine haven't spontaneously combusted yet (placed upright on the floor of my cellar inside a 4 pack beer holder) but thanks for the warning. I will now place them inside a bag

you can sometimes get lucky on centre or garnett street. if not, i'd recommend driving up a few blocks on smith and head back down towards hamilton on Court St and find the closest meter spot. good luck.

I've been sick all week so I wasn't able to track down a can of the Burial collab. Anyone know where I can still find some?
