This isn't true at all that recent beers have been meh. The experience has gotten worse as the lines only get longer and as the allotments have only gotten smaller (weird the way those happen together....)

Let's look at some of the all stars from recent cannings!

7/16: Double Mosaic Dream was incredible. Much better than the first batch. I'll drink this over Bright any day. And All Citra is quite good.
7/2: Motueka + Galaxy was an absolute juice bomb, thoroughly delicious, as good as anything they've done. Debbie Downer was nice as well.
6/18: Small Green was awesome, among the best "little" IPAs you can get. Boogie Board was also a nice beer.
6/4: No Layups was incredible. It's greatness is well documented in this thread. Grits and Greens was good.
5/21: One of the best releases top to bottom, All Dank, All Citra, Telectroscopic.

Every release for the past 2 months has had at least one great beer, along with a really good beer. And look at how many "new" beers are in that list. I'll call that progression.

What are the only stinkers in that span? Suparillo, OH IPA, and maybe Magic Green Nuggets? Those were all somewhat predictable, nobody should've loaded up and then been disappointed. Going there has gotten worse, be it for cans, to fill growlers, or just to share a beer with friends and I think this is the reason people are more disappointed in the beer. Sure, one can say, "I'm just judging the beer" but I'm unconvinced in one's ability to separate the two.

In regard to non-ipa offerings, sure, but figure out what you people want, them to perfect their hoppy beers or to release more beer that isn't ipa. They release farmhousey stuff often enough. Table beer was farmhousey enough and we've had 2 Kolsch style beers come out in cans that were both great for summer drinking. Maybe they really like hoppy beers and they brew beer they enjoy.

Thinking about walking down to the taproom today for a growler fill and maybe a sample or two. Haven't been in a couple weeks. What's new and tasting good?

By & By is amazing. Had it at As Is on Friday. Just the right amount of funk with that pillowy/creamy mouthfeel.

Hoping I can stroll in around 12 and pick up some of ! and Hop Showers, not really interested in AGE. Fingers crossed for a quiet release!

Thoughts on the line potential for this release? I haven't been to the last few releases wondering how it's been in the summer

Seems every release you should get there early if you want a guaranteed pickup. If your travel to the brewery doesn't require significant effort, most of the summer has allowed walk-ins after 11 to come away with some beer at least, if not some of everything.

It probably depends entirely on how excited people get for !. They describe it as a juice bomb, which could bring crowds, although I didn't find it lived up to this description or the hype when I had it back in April. Then again, my expectations were high due to Greenbacks which might have put it at a disadvantage. Rain in the forecast Saturday morning could also depress the crowds.

Ya, I guess I could get there at 8am just to be safe, but all I really want is a couple 4pks of AGE and ! don't even need full allotment. Maybe I take my chances but I'm sure people will start foaming at the mouth with juice bomb in the description
