Dinner releases are amazing now that it's a ticketed system. In and out in 5 mins

I just got in line for the 8/26 release of the OH/Tree House/Russian River collaborations (Spinach, Artichoke, and Spinach Artichoke Dip). Only got a clear wristband so no full allotment for me . Hopefully I get some merch, though. The denim jacket and matching jean shorts are pretty cool.

I know lowering allotments to spread beer out is repeated on here all the time, but 2pp is still a mixed case for everyone. I never really bought that the drop in allotment was opening that much beer for more people. The bummer is the precedent this sets for future hyped releases.

Still it all makes a ton of sense from their perspective. They made a shit ton of money, and this'll spread awareness of their brewery nationally even more.

It's fair to say that OH is often readily available, and they brewery is far from cynical to people who live in the area. It is still strange that was basically a release for traders and resellers only.

Here's to hoping today's sales go to more tanks and finishing touches on that taproom!

When did the beer community become a bunch of people complaining all the time? Between this and other forms of social media I question what breweries can do to be "great" in the eyes of the public besides catering to every whim and giving half of an allotment away for free. People complained today they didn't open their taproom early enough..even though they opened almost 4 hours early compared to listed times....

this is just a weekly blip in OH's total operation for me. shitshow can releases once a week but great beer readily available all the time. fortunately for me its a bike ride, run, train ride, short drive, long walk away. would be nice to have cans of their hype beer but ive come to the realization that you need to put in effort. the whale broz/out of town traders/resellers arent going anywhere.

i'd take the powdered cheese/ddhdmdd release over this any day of the week. lined up at 9:30 and received full allotment.

They just updated their IG that they sold out of cans. I figure this is when the growler line starts to form. Hoping to get there in a couple of hours but not if it's still a crazy scene.

I'm digging Taters. I've been meaning to see what Enigma tastes like for some time now and it's interesting. You can definitely taste the oats.

Fully Loaded tastes really nice and should come together really well over the next week.

Once you accept that the line started miserably early, I think OH handled some aspects of the release really well. They were out with bracelets much earlier than they've ever been and they had multiple colors of bracelets to give people more of a sense of what they're getting. All the beers lasted considerably longer than the staff had expected. Not surprisingly glasses sold out first. The guys kept coming out and giving updates, refreshing counts, and updating us with fairly precise case counts after the initial set of bands went out.

To those that missed, I'm sorry, but it will be on for fills and like someone else said, look at all the cans that have been available every day as well as the bigger city scene. I would've liked to see allotments drop while I was fretting in line with a tier 2 wristband (FT used wristband from this release), but I know it's not what they do and they've been both open and honest about it.

Since the cans lasted a bit longer than what was expected, Wondering if I would have gotten any IPAs if I got there at 6:45am now (instead of going back to bed at 6am)

    I know 700-something in line was 5:45am...

Will head down for the tap room, growler in an hour or two

At 5am I was ~500th? Location wise this meant in front of the McDonald's after the line hopped Centre on the loop around. As I was leaving they had just wheeled out an entire new pallet of beer (likely Taters), so it's not clear. My guess is that it was 50/50 at that point to get 2 4 packs of taters.

Needed to be there by 6:15 to get any cans, which is just ridiculous.

I got there at 6:04 and only got double baked or whatever it's called. The purple can. I have never arrived before 8 am but wanted all three and was sure 6 would be plenty of time.

    I was wrong.

Got a bottle of berries too based on some of the posts I saw. They had plenty of the Stouts left.

When others came to turn profit, to ruin it for people who just want a beer. That's when.
