    Totally agree with you. I'm all for them running their business however they please I just think cutting limits solves this problem. I don't think "fairness" should be part of the discussion when some people leave with cases while other are shut out.

    Agreed on both counts.

    Cutting the limits from inception is one issue (that gets discussed a lot). But at the very least I would have thought cutting them on the spot depending on the size of the line would make sense. That way people know that if they get there before opening time then they may not get a full case, but they'll definitely get something.

    Refusing to do that isn't just encouraging lines, it's encouraging people to line up ridiculously early. Which is why you have idiots getting there at 9-10pm the night before for the really sought after collabs.

    Stuff like this makes me think OH doesn't give a toss about their neighbours, and makes me skeptical of the "important role in their communities" guff.

    They are clearly doing a silent release just to drive the hype machine and cater to the traders from NJ and LI while making it even more difficult for locals to get beer.

    Haha I get your point, but won't be taking my hat off in respect until the day where the "announced" release is a double batch of a staple like DDH DMD, with a couple of previously released single hop IPAs, and then they do a silent release of their quad dry hopped triple ipa collab with treehouse and trillium.

    Doing a silent release in the midst of a well documented collab release only gets half points.
