They do look cool. But for whatever reason people "needed" them so bad to the extent they were maxing out on the limit (who would have thought there would need to be a limit for glasses?).

Kanger tried his best to diffuse things / kill the hype with this comment after they'd sold out:

The one special thing about these new Tekus is the printing technique. OH is the first in the US the get these custom color full wrap around design Tekus.

unfortunately to no avail it seems - hopefully they make more

To this point, OH has been great about rereleasing things that have been popular (seems like an easy way to make some more money!) The second batch of Nummy being an example.

I suspect we're going to see more crazy glasses if there's this much demand for them.

If they can metallic color print those glasses they're gonna need to make a lot more than 600...

I have a hard enough time limiting myself to 1 or 2 brewery specific glasses, so I don't really want to go down the path of BEER specific glasses. I'd need about 10-12 each from OH, Treehouse, Kane, Trillium, etc. It certainly looked cool but I have enough Tekus as it is.

Are people actually buying them though? I feel like this is another case of bullsh*t demand.

Just google broccoli teku and you'll see someone trying to sell one for $100 with 3 cans.

Visiting from out of town and hoping to get some cans to settle a beer debt with my Vermont-frequenting neighbor. Now that can releases are more frequent, do you still need to line up hours before they open? Would there be some cans left if I showed up at 10 am? Later in the day?

^I think the last two releases sold out before the line was done

if you show up at 10 or a little before, you'll almost certainly get full allotment every week - however, you might have to wait an hour or more if there's something new or if they have a mix of bottles and cans or glasses as that slows down the line tremendously.

Holy shit. When the monks released Westvleteren XII a few years back with a chalice glass, that didn't even cost that much. Shit's bananas.

If people are waiting for hours in 43 degrees and rain for these cans, man not even sure what to say. Southern Hopalistic base was just ok from what I recall, I am happy to give the DDH version a try but not clamoring for it. Same with Hop Showers. Subterranean is an unknown.

Was optimistic last week, and got bit in the ass. Hopefully mother nature helps this week.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if they were bottled last week, don't they need a little more time before being released?

    No glass according to instagram.

I got in line at 9:30 last weekend and felt like an asshole the entire 2 hours I was slowly shuffling toward the door. My plan for tomorrow is to start checking instagram around 10 to see the condition of the line and case counts. Not gonna go unless I can be in and out with at least 2 of the 3 beers in under 10 mins.

I'll do both, but in my experience, the comments on this instagram post will have more line updates than this thread.
