Not complaining but noticed that the Riwaka is limited to 3 4-pks per person. Smaller batch perhaps?

Tap room line is well out the door with one person behind the bar and about a 15-20 minute wait to get pours. The new space next door really needs to open already. I feel quite bad for the dude behind the bar working solo.

Yea beer was definitely not good and it costed a hefty amount. It was all for a good cause but still. I remember buying the beer thinking "I'm putting money towards something good" but then I remembered that half my house was destroyed so what the hell was I doing.

Were you covered by your insurance, NYS help, or FEMA?

To complain about the quality of Surge Protector seems kinda silly. Was it supposed to be a great beer? I don't think so. Was it a bunch of LI breweries getting together and collaborating for a good cause, and, very importantly, bailing out Barrier which was basically destroyed by Sandy? Yes. I bought 2 of those beers knowing that it wasn't gonna blow my mind but knowing the money was important to the community. I still can't believe the things I saw the weeks after that storm.

Yea most of the damage was covered. Unfortunately it took over 3 years to get everything from NY rising. Just got my last check 6 months ago.

My wife's grandmother still doesn't live in her house. That storm was a ************.

I think I failed at embedding phot but go to siren brewing IG. Berries vanilla bourbon milkshake imperial stout coming to an other half bottle release near you soon. Haven't see it mentioned yet.

Well Magic Green Nuggets aren't going to bring out a crowd, and while DMD is very good they've released the DDH version so much that the original probably won't bring many out either.

I had almost given up on OH stouts, but I thought Get Busy Livin' was pretty tasty and this gives me hope. What ever happened to those maple creamies bottles @Kanger ?

Might be good for pancakes, but I can't vouch for it if your plan is to drink the beer.

I'm a big fan of BA maple stouts but thought Maple Creamies was a bit too sweet for my tastes. With that said, I am looking forward to this Milkshake. Cheers!

I had completely forgotten about the milkshake stouts. Andrew was doing a line count at one of the releases months ago ( I seriously think it was in the autumn) and mentioned that they made a few varieties of them. I know at the time he had said they were thinking about making the midweek releases (separate from the cans). No idea if that is still the case, obviously.

Does anyone know if them having their own canning line is going to lead to any changes in how they release their beers?

    bigger batches? non-weekend releases?
