Uh easily a dozen or more activities. Surfing, gym, planting veggies in my yard, sitting on the beach, hanging with friends and family since I work 60 hours a week, going for a long run, not standing in line for 2 hours, not taking a 2 hour drive in consistent traffic, going into the city with my girlfriend to enjoy my day off....oh and brewing my own beer.

Yes but I think the whole basis of the argument is that you shouldnt have to line up 2 hours before the brewery opens to get beer. I love OH beer but I am not leaving my house at 630am to wait on a line which moved at a snails pace when I could be doing something more productive. Really the whole thing here is there are more effective ways to sell beer than having your customers line up hours before you open.

^a two hour commute would stop me from going to other half

Waiting in line becomes a weekly reunion if you make friends with regulars, other half does take the consideration to make double batches of the popular stuff lately and it has lasted days (city slickers, ddh mylar, dreamscapes)

This place reminds me of a family that gets together only on holidays and argues- except everyday is Thanksgiving and we're all cranky uncles. Love it.

I was sitting on the toilet taking a shit so I hd available time. Now im watching the Mets actually score runs. Any more brain busters?

Why is that since I have actual hobbies and prefer to be productive over standing in line for beer that its a bad rap? He asked a question and I answered it honestly. Douchiness runs clear through your veins.

Don't try and confront a beer advocate forum member with reality. You're not going to get very far.

Wait, aren't you both BA forum members as well?
Bottom line, why are we having this discussion? Who here prefers waiting in line for anything over not waiting in line for the same thing? Exactly.

I agree with this part. I said it here a month ago and got crucified, lots of cut-throat beer enthusiasts in the OH forum. And I get I would say 6-8 out of every 10 OH releases, I do decently well. NO ONE is drinking a case per week, let alone 2-4 cases per week, of 7-9% beer. And yes, I know there's lots of good beer around NYC. And you all have beer in your fridge to start. So where are all the extra cans going? They are being re-sold and traded for twice their value.

There was a guy with beer last week walking past everyone else in line selling 4 packs for $30, 5 minutes after he bought it. Buys a case of beer, makes $30-$50 for his trouble, and goes home with 4 beers for himself anyways. Or goes to their corner shop with a case and sells them for $12 a can, pocketing $100+. That isn't cool.

For beer fans, and OH fans especially, we just want to drink their beer. And go the next week, and try the next one. Maybe grab an extra 4 of our favorite. THAT is what is fun. Lowering limits may just get rid of the case chase. I'm not saying limit it to 2 cans or something stupid (cough Grimm), but even 3-4 4 packs per person might have these re-sellers say it isn't worth it for the trouble anymore.

Realistically, lowering beer limits from a case to 3 or 4 four packs isn't going to put OH in a world of hurt. We've all seen the lines. We've all been locked out. OH will sell those cans by 2pm, not noon. They aren't holding cans "on the shelf" for a week or 2.

My thoughts exactly. The worst is all these instagrammers (Lorenzothebeercat, beercanvas, etc) who show off their "haul" every week of 2-3 cases. I would be shocked if they drink 20% of that beer. The other 80% goes straight into boxes and shipped around the country whether sold or through trades. Lowering limits would slow this down and get beer into more hands.

And people here say lowering limits "keep beer on OH shelves." You see the lines for 4 can releases, they sure as shit aren't lasting 2 days let alone "a week" like some exaggerate. 3 or 4 four packs would be perfect. Allow an extra 2 hours of beer selling with lower limits, you have a lot more happy loyal customers, and case chasing line holding resale chumps thinking not worth my time.

I can see them dropping limits so the few people who truly appreciate their beer and want to support their business but at the same time only have a few precious hours to sleep, surf, and pick daises will be able to buy their beer when ever they decide appropriate
