No, you're not allowed! Don't you dare tell me you like fruit in your IPAs either!

My point is that the results tend to be better if they're experimenting with new and different hop combinations rather than adding or conditioning on fruit. BUT if the people want fruit give them fruit!

While I'm looking forward to the Mylar Bags I'm SUPER pumped about cans of Short Dark and Handsome. It drinks like a RIS but you can have a pint or two and not be trashed.

Oh totally, I wouldn't disagree with that either. I took your post to be "just continue doing what you're doing" which I wouldn't complain about but I do love how it seems like they're willing to try anything.

Definitely excited for Short Dark and Handsome as well. While I love their IPAs it'll be a nice change/addition. I also have friends who aren't IPA fans who will be stoked to get their hands on it.

Sorry if this is a redundant question but didn't see it in browsing the first post.
How have lines been lately? How early have people been having to get there to be in the ~first 100. Did one release a year or two ago and was pretty turned off but I was thinking of doing this weekends and I'd like to be out of there by 11am if at all possible. 8:30am too late? 8:00am?

P.S. I will be going solo and do not hold spots for people, park in McDonalds, have someone hold a place for me in line or drink beer in line so I realize I'll be in the minority :grinning:

People are still lining up at 6am, but there is really no reason to anymore. I would say for the last 3 months or so you could walk in around 11:30-12 grab your allotment and be on your way with no wait at all. Now if you must be out of there by 11 I would venture to guess being in line anytime before 9:30/9:45 would get you out of there. Maybe someone else can chime in on that, I haven't waited in a line for a long time there, so my insights probably are not the best. Also, there is a cash only line, you cant just cut the line but once you are in the garage you can jump over there and that will save a few minutes.

Thanks for that. I would have to leave my house at 6am just to get there by 8am so getting there at 6am is out of the question. Seems like it's calmed down a bit since the Forever Ever/Suparillo release I did. Alottments got halved by time I got to the front of the line and there were still A LOT of people behind me and total wait time was >4 hours.

Do you expect lines to be bigger with 4 cans being released instead of 2? I haven't really been paying attention so don't know if this has been a regular thing. I'd happily cruise in around 11:30 if you thought the wait time wasn't long and all cans were still available. Really want to try the 3 IPAs especially the grape. Thanks for the help

Not at all. The last 5 releases have been 4 can releases. In my opinion the 4 cans actually spread the beer out more as opposed to 2 or 3 cans. It just gets really expensive to buy the limits on 4 cans vs 2/3 cans. I am very confident you can show up at 11:30 not wait in any line and walk out with a full allotment if you want.

Ha now you've got me thinking. It would SUCK to drive 1:45 into Brooklyn and 1:45 back and have them be gone. I'm leaning towards getting there at 8:30ish now and just dealing with it. I think I'm also scarred from the one and only release I did and how long and slow the line was. I'm sure they've improved things since then

Yea I'm not planning on getting full alottments either, to NYNYC's point about it getting expensive, so even if there's leftovers with decreased allotments I'd be fine with that as long as it's all still there

I've been to 2 of the last 3, arrived at noon for both and got all 4 beers both times. Zero line.

I believe DDHDMD sold out at roughly 1pm last release with Simcoe+Wai-iti being gone around 3. You probably can't roll up at any time and get all 4 options but lining up at 8-9am is completely unnecessary.

Was at the last release at 10:45 with no problem, out of there in 15 minutes. If you want to be out by 11 I don't think there's any reason to be there before 10am. Mylar bags is popular but the last release had AGE and DDHDMD . . . hard to beat that for hype! Wish I could go . . . have to be out of town for an exam. So jealous of people getting Mylar Bags in cans :-(

Speaking of the Simcoe+Wai-iti, those cans keep getting better and better. I want to save the 2 I have left for a road trip in two weeks...not sure I'm gonna have the willpower.
